The four recommended by SRS are worth calling, they are the only four I rang this year, Adrian Flux, Sky, Chris Knott and Greenlight

Gawd, insurers must love you guys.

In Perth, Australia, RS4s are expendive (due to rediculous taxes) - my RS4 is currently insured for A$90,000 (£61,000), but the fully comprehensive insurance, with $100 excess is only $1100 per year.

30
Bedfordshire
3 years NCD (Driving claim free for 12 years but an 'insurance dispute' cost me 6 points and a fine in my younger years so had been a named driver till I got the RS.
6 points (SP30)

Adding the wife brought it down by £100 and I always crank up the excess as I'm stupid enough to think I won't crash.

I did try to add my old man (78!!) and it took the insurance to 2K+ ... Maybe it's your age Victor ... You tried SAGA insurance :)

Also Gareth, is it true that your version of road tax (reggo) also includes 3rd party insurance. I was told that was the reason for all the younguns being able to goon round in big v8's ... Lucky sods! ... when we were over back in 2004.

Yes, Aussie registration (road tax) costs include compulsory third party insurance, but you still have to deal with drop bear claims ...

Its a mythical bear that lives in trees and drops onto peoples heads.

Yeah they're getting wise to that one, just looked at Greenlight's site which states "Existing customers can not get an online quote"

Just did all my 3 cars via Admiral multi car and saved a bomb! Couldnt believe how much but all under £1k. I appreciate its all about postcode etc but my individual renewal cost for the 6 was 700 odd  some 200 more than last year but after the multi discount went back to 400 odd. That was miles better than any others I approached and of course easier to manage. Thats with protected NCD and addtional drivers etc. They have now also teamed with Warranty Direct which might be interesting to get a multi car discounted warranty... Any one tried a quote yet?

The issue I had with multi car is when you add a car mid way through your policy.
Say car one renews on 1/1/12 and car 2 on 1/7/12.
If you get multi car and add car 2 half way through the year it seems cheaper than what it is as they (well used to) link the policy renewal dates together.

Well that's just stupid as they will simply lose a customer to the next cheapest insurance company.

i had exactly the same issue, picked up a sp30 by a mobile van, went to reinsure with direct line, and it doubled to £1200

went to Nationwide through LVE, and got it for £500... less than what i was paying before the points..!

41yo, full no claims, full comp, driveway, etc... try LVE as well
