I was in Nurburg on that day, got there late PM on way back from Switzerland, spectated at Pflanzgarten then off to Pinocchios for a stupid big pizza and frustratingly tiny beer (driving). It was a lovely evening and some serious mental driving, there was a BMW club doing some full on laps and a fantastic sounding 996 GT3 RS - love the way the cars lift on the hump there - always remember that you are grateful for the steering feeling normal again before the right hander!
What time did you leave DK? I got there at 6pm ish
Also that day was the day a UK press contingent were heading back to UK in new RS4s collected from quattro GmbH, did you see any at Chunnel? One was driven by (yes, the!) Sue Barker .

It was the Blancpain Endurance series that weekend so pity you couldn't spend longer.
If I could live there I think I would and only a small bit of that is for the track itself.
Cheap beer
Cheap big pizzas
Lots of cycling
Lots of hiking
Nice views
Nice people
Derestricted Autobahn on door step
Fast car overload

This isn't helping my need to stay with a sensible motor for another year.

Miss the GT-R, miss the RS, miss The Ring, miss Spa & miss tracks in general :sleeping_2:

Sonny i am up for another trip to the ring before xmas

I left my house at 0530 and was in bed by 0030 and that could have been earlier but despite getting to calais an hour early there were no earlier trains

We got the 0720 train out
Arrived at ring at about 1245CET
Did 10 laps in the rent4ring swifts
Steak on stone
Left pistenclause about 1845

Piece of piss and one hellova way to spent a saturday

Necks, didnt see any RS 4's but even if we did the TT would have made them look they were goin backwards

but in my one week old brand new TTRS that would sit at 120mph the whole way over it is a piece of piss as a one day'er
yea I wouldn't either lol...would take the RS of 4 to stretch its little legs.

Clio needs a engine rebuild

Worn piston ring, blowing oil out of the breather pipe and into catch tank.

While pistons are out im thinking of upgrading to stronger pistons and rings, poss stringer springs, valves etc
