Just don't add up what its cost.........

If you feel bad just ask Glenn what his Subaru has cost him.

Got round to making up door cards for the fronts.

So I purchased some of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from= ... t+x+2ft%29 I saw them used on a VLN racer at the Ring so gave me a few ideas.

2 sheets of this was enough to do both sides.

I started by cutting out a card template for the first door card, then used this for the first attempt. It came out well and used this as the main template for the second.

Straight edge and new Stanley blade needed

Image

Using a black ball point pen to outline the original template, this leave a depression and makes it a little easier to cut.

Remove the protective film

Image

Cut out door handle and door strap, and one finished product ready for fixing to the door

Image

Checking to make sure everything fits

Image

Mocked in place using trust worthy Sellotape

..and in place, all is needed now is to pop rivet them in place, this will be next weeks job ;)

The car is booked in next week with Mark Fish Motorsports to have a 6 point bolt in Safety Devices (with extra diagonal and harness bar) cage installed and also to have the Geometry set up and corner weighted, this should be ready by the end of the week (Friday).

So car now will be 100% Spa ready.

Flock the dash.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Track day project, Clio 172 cup

What a great thread! ... Really gives me the urge to sort out my little 205 GTi
:)

Just a question on the extinguisher, what media is it and will pulling either cord trigger both engine bay and cabin nozzles? I looks like it would but just wondered if there was some kind of valve under the dash to isolate the cabin nozzle?

I don't really have a problem with sun reflecting of the dash so no need to so it. I am thinking about removing the dash completely and replacing with a small column dash.
