Real RS4 top speed?!

Hi guys.
I'm still asking me what the real top speed of an RS4 is.
In our case it says 320 km/h on the speedo. What is the real top speed then?
Is it possible to go into an extra menu of the air condition to see the real top speed? (like in the A8 )

Conti, I think jr posted some info after he did a flat out run in Germany with a GPS comparison against the speedo readout. From memory, his speedo was showing 196mph and his GPS was showing 182mph.

I would assume around a 10% error on speedos nearing top speed, unless you have larger wheels fitted (19").

It also depends on the modifications to your fathers RS4 - is he running 420 or 460BHP?

you are correct in the figures, but i was running 19" and with 500 bhp unmapped engine conversion, with a safety mode chip in place which didnt allow me to get the revs required.
So i will find out this year exactly what it can do.

He is running 460bhp on standart 18"!

So know I know JR used GPS, but is it possible for me to look at the real top speed for my car when I don't have GPS?
Which GPS utensil do I need for that?

only by configuring the airconditioning system to read in KMPh by doing this simple little trick
press and hold the recirculation button, then press manual flow up arrow, it then dispalys 1c Then press the tempreture + or - until you see 17, the car will now read in Kmph more accurately

I know this devided air con from the old A8, but how does it work with this one?

jr, are you saying that by doing the air-con configuration it somehow uses the GPS to show - I thought all it did was show the indicated speed in digital format? Is there no way of showing speed on the satnav+ screen.

I've only got the DIS sat-nav ;-(

Not GPS only done thru air speed (or so im told)
I dont have OEM Sat Nav, so cant speak about the Audi system, sorry

press and hold the recirculation button, then press manual flow up arrow, it then dispalys 1c Then press the tempreture + or - until you see 17C then press the recirculation button again and the speed will appear!
