Taken black surround off....and fixed smaller plate to exsting grille.

I have a 5 digit plate....made up on a smaller width plate...height is the same as normal...and font is correct(size)

Alright i MAY have "tampered" with the spacings bewteen the two digits on the left and the three digits on the right!!!!!!!!!!!....no gap....cheeky!!!

By the way, what your next car going to be. R8 V10?

Not bad chris. Is it a smaller number plate you have or have you just taken the surround off.

WRONG !!

Yep i do agree but if you put a no. plate at the bottom plus the RS6 sign it might break it up slightly.

The more i think about it the more i might just drop the plate and leave it as it is. Not too sure if an all black grill will work with monza colour. Cheers for the picture D_K. I'll buy you a beer if you are up my way being a landlord> :beerchug:

Hi Luffenham1, :bigwave:

if you want a cheap way to see how the grill surround looks blacked out, get it wrapped in vinyl gloss black. No need to take the grill off, have the trim etched and painted or replaced with new black grill surround.
If you dont like the black optic effect, you can then peel it off. See how mine looks. You can also see how Audi dealer provided the "Euro Plate" look with honeycombe surround to my beast when I bought it.

Flat black vinyl wrap on all other alloy trim looks ok too.

On engine/ECU mods, I am running the APR map with MRC filters, standard TCU and standard exhaust and run 11.75 second quarters, 0-100 mph in 7.9 secs. I would guesstimate engine power to be ~680-700 bhp.

Running APR ECU map as unable to get MRC or Viper map done here in Oz. APR also provide 104 octane map if required.

Fuel economy is good when dont "put the pedal to the metal"

The gearbox map by MRC makes a HUGE difference when accelerating at full bore, not to be under estimated.

OEM offset is 36 with 20x9.5

Just been through my own wheel search which meant doing some detailed measurements for fitment. Let me run the ET25 through a calc to get an idea if it MIGHT work.

By my rough calcs, this should work. They will poke out a little further than OEM, but not enough to rub the arch (2mm less than mine) and your inner suspension clearance is actually improved by the 9J vs 9.5J. (Calcs using 265/35 tyres). If you went for any wider than 9J, you might need to have an offset closer to OEM.

Please don't take this as gospel though, my ROUGH estimate as all wheels are slightly different.

luffenham1, would you consider BBS CK's. I know of a set going in 20X9.5 ET36 for a decent price. If you like I'll PM you the details (no affiliation).
