Today I have been..........

Post by amanda1 » Wed Aug 01, 2012 9:16 pm

As its school holidays and I really haven't done anything with the bratzs I decided to go to a park but which park!!!! Alton towers or Blackpool ???? Well Blackpool won :) These places are not cheap but we had a fab day and the weather wasn't too bad. Over 7 hrs of white knuckle rides, I was in my element :bigblink: Was Blackpool worth it ..... Ohh yes! Just a couple of piccies as it was difficult to get any decent ones!!!

Waiting to go!

The good old Pepsi Max ride, not been on that in years.

Was it busy in blackpool? I used to live there for a few years.

I love the Pepsi max ride old but great :assflash: I was surprised really was expecting it to be packed but waited less than 5 mins for all the top rides and it was like that all day!

Today I went to the 'lympics.
Saw the Men's synchronised 3m diving.
Great venue, great 'lympic park.
Good day but way way overpriced for some very average seats, plus food was dire and a rip-off.
Would I do it again?.... the Pool definitely not, unless I was minted.
Other venues, maybe.

(The Javelin train from St. Pancras makes travel from the west end a piece of p1ss.)
VW Toe-rag V6 R-line.... no curry hooks...wtf ?
Gone: Avus Avant B7 RS4.... plus curry hooks !

I was in Stratford yesterday, busy as hell there isn't it. It had very good atmosphere which makes a change.

Blackpool? I imagine the white-knuckle ride that is Panda's driving, combined with 925Nm of torque would've been the highlight of the day. Just burn a tank around Asda car park next time...

Work during the day (but quite lot of it spent watching olympics and rs246 on internet) then pub in Padstow in evening. Pretty dull really :(

Was hoping for a good blast from Bodmin to Padstow in the RS but no bloody chance at this time of year

Love Cornwall Pete - especially The Roseland Peninsula, The Fal estuary - but wouldn't consider it during the school holidays - you have my sympathy.

Having said that Cornwall on a bad day has gotta be better than feckin' Blackpool any day - or am I just being sniffy...?

Sorry, but I've been at work all day helping Victor Meldrew' types pay for the Olympics (which I love and don't mind helping to finance BTW)

Was down in Cornwall for a long weekend, a couple of weeks ago (that weekend with all the weather warnings, that didn't happen).
Love it down there (it's where my forebears originated apparently), but painfully slow motoring.

:greyrs4:

I think it's why the Avus graphic doesn't bob !
