No way, 80s and 90s darts were being discussed in the pub this arvo... that and snooker, smoking and drinking were the norm on both televised 'sports', apparently.
Funny but days long gone.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Don't knock darts in the 80's; Jocky Wilson, Eric Bristow, Bobby George, Keith Dellar and John Lowe were all legends and true athletes. As much as Mick McManus, Kendo Nagasaki, Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy were to wrestling on a Saturday afternoon all presented by Dickie Davis.

I remember watching it live on Not the 9 o'clock News :bigblink:

Both Jocky Wilson and Cliff Lazarenko played exhibition games at the darts club i was in during the early 80's, Jocky had a driver for some reason - IIRC he had about 16 pints, all with a wee chaser and beat everyone including some county players. Next year he was World Champion :notworthy:

Big Cliff played a few games with 6" nails and still beat all of us

Saturday 4PM wrestling on ITV was an institution, Haystacks and Shirley Crabtree were late comers
