No, but there is an new A3 and I'm sure the sportback will appear shortly afterwards. However you are missing the main point, we all bought the car knowing it was going to be outdated very soon, we also all bought the car thinking it was going to be a very limited edition.

Now it appears Audi will happily throw out as many RS3's as they like, and that is not right.

Audis number one goal is making profit and if making more RS3s will make them more money then of course they will release more. It's still exclusive and they make more money off us lot. It's a win win for them.

It's unfortunate for you guys with RS3s and I understand how you feel but unfortunately you're going to have to just take it on the chin.

I agree to an extent about the customer thing. They also kind of know that they can still sell them as more and more people are buying Audis.

I heard somewhere that AMG were thinking of going AWD. This would be awesome!

TBH, I really don't give a fook about the residuals, what really p!$$es me off is that Audi have generally messed everyone about with this car regarding delivery dates, spec cock up's and some build quality issues etc, all of which was bad enough.

Now to then stick a further two fingers up to their customers, they go back on what was always going to be a 'very' limited car and chuck out as many as can be sold.

Not very good customer relations with the RS3 before, during and now after.

It was stated that there would only be 500 cars, now there's 50% more available. That is in my opinion equals deception.

Yes I heard of these build quality issues. My Mrs is sooooo glad I didn't get one when I was looking at this and the S4. That seems crazy for a 40k car to me.

Just looked up this A45 AMG, maybe this would be a great alternative?

I assume you have had many niggles with your RS3 then Funkygibbo? That in itself is disappointing.

The only niggle I have or had with the car is a creak around the centre console, I also haven't had had issues with delivery or spec as I bought an Ex Audi car although there are plenty who have, just read any forums.

I also am not bothered about the residuals as I do not intend to sell the car, this is because although I drive it everyday on country roads, motorways, in cities it is such a great car, so when the time comes to change I will get a new car but also keep the RS3 something I have never done before.

I was also looking at an S4 when looking at the RS3 and both are great cars, however the RS3 just put a bigger smile on my face.

What really annoys me is that Audi announce they are building a limited number of RS3's of which only 500 will be coming to the UK, but then decide that they think they can shift a few more here so add another 50% to the allocation and whose to say they won't add more later.

So originally saying there is only going to be 500 isn't clever marketing it is lying! and Audi seem to be happy to treat their customers as mugs.

I've said this in other threads AUDI have taken their eye off the ball,my last 3 cars are have been new MERCS and i only bought my S4 because MERC did not do AWD at the time otherwise i would had a C63 with AWD.Ive had water pump, thermostat, discs pads and callipers, rear light seals ,wing mirror seals all replaced on TSBs on my S4.AUDI paint is crap and their customer care is non existant.MERCEDES customer care and build quality is first class they are more expensive but as the old saying goes you pay for what you get.AUDI need to sit up and take notice of whats going on around them.

These things seem to go in cycles, it was not long ago Merc's were the business, they then took their eye off the ball, build standards dropped as did customer service.

It seems like it's now Audi's turn hopefully they do like Merc have done and turn it around and quick.

Reminds me of the original Clio Williams, one off never to be repeated, closely followed by the Clio Williams 2 and 3.

Owners of the 1 were pissed off too.

I have to admit I'm miffed that Audi / VAG have done this, however I was quite prepared given the same happened with my mkiv R32 in RHD. -they have a predictable habit of doing this!

I don't intend on selling in a hurry... Hey they are great cars, well ts a great tuneable engine with the practicality the TTRS doesn't have!
