What colour are my seats? Help!

Post by AdrianD » Mon Jul 16, 2012 4:58 pm

Hi,

Unfortunately my bolster is starting to wear on the drivers seat and I'd obviously like to get it repaired, the downside with having the exclusive interior though is that no-one appears to know what colour it is to match it... this includes my local Audi dealer and even currently Audi uk are yet to come back with anything conclusive... Any Guru's on here able to help at all? it's a 2006 car so I'm guessing it would have been in the 2006 Exclusive catalog...

Thanks in advance :)

I'm pretty sure that's listed as silver. Jules had an aftermarket job done at Plush, worth a look but probably at the wrong end of the country for you.

Thanks Bam_Bam... I've actually been speaking to Plush and they're struggling like me to find the original colour and i can't quite stretch to a complete refresh like Jules. Luke at Plush has a contact that he thinks may be able to help but he's on holiday for another couple of weeks...

is it called just plain silver then? I would have expected it to have a fancy name, especially as it doesn't look silver lol...

Looks the same as in the C5 RS6, it's listed as 'silver', nothing else, even though it looks white. I've struggled for an age to get the correct dye for it. Gave up. Try MJ interiors, Grizz had a pair of Recaro CS (the B7 RS wingbacks are based on these seats ) skinned in the C5 RS6 silver, it seemed a spot on match. MJ might know the colour.

Adrian, Bam Bam's right, see link to another forum car that was for sale a while back, same seats as yours, referred to as 'Audi exclusive leather in silver nappa':

http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=93891

Pretty sure that description is correct.

If you struggle to find anything in the UK I sourced the leather for my re-trim from a company called Leather House in Germany, they were cheaper than a price I got in the UK and you can buy by the sq/m. They were very efficient and helpful, as Germans are. E-mail them the colour you want and if they can find a match they will send you a free sample to compare.

Shame on you Adrian! Like any self respecting car nut you should have a copy of the original advert taped to your bathroom wall!! Especially one with those pics...

I spoke to MJ Interiors when trying to source my leather, he was very helpful and spoke to his supplier and came back with a price of £190 for half a skin (2.5sq/m) for the Valcona Leather Black Metallic (standard on buckets), Leather House price was £150+del. MJ are going to buy what I have left as I ordered a full skin.

Good luck!

MJ did my interior, that colour is audi silver nappa,MJ did it on my old interior in my b5 RS4 on the pole positions.

He can get the leather as he recently did my mates bora in that colour and a friends vrs centres.

it will improve the look when you have the bolsters done but you probably will notice a slight difference in colour due to age
and dirt being engrained etc.

Awesome, thanks Jules :D

I used G101 on them a few weeks back with a sodding toothbrush lol and they look a LOT brighter than they did.. however, if like you say there is going to be a noticeable colour difference then I'll go for both the fronts seats to be done :)
