£50732 OTR for the boggo car from BROADSPEED - UK car via a UK AUDI dealer so why would anyone want to pay over the odds?

Were Audi to restrict supply to say 1000 examples worldwide then we'd all be queuing up to buy one if it were that good?

:beerchug:
The point of the first post though is that they are claiming an early car ie premium to be one of the first on the road.

With this one it will be way in to next year before you see it because all initial dealer allocations will have been allocated by now!

As far as I'm aware, there's not really a waiting list and that AUK had allocated more RHD build slots than it has orders, so to apply a premium for an early car is effectively redundant, no ?

I've no issue with them them being mass produced... hell, works for BMW.
Just because there is a limited number of a car doesn't make me want to buy it any more.

Please...........

If you were a hardened car dealer, please explain to me at which price point, the depreciation would start from?
£79,756 + delivery charges from the Pistonheads advert or the £50732 OTR price from Broadspeed, albeit with the same kit specced exactly the same, so I could get a true price comparison?

I know where I would be buying from.
Time will tell if I am wrong - & I'm wise enough to realise that I'm not always correct.

Would I pay a premium to be one of the first on the road - I don't think so.

What exactly is the point of that.

That's one of the things I like about the B7 RS4 - it doesn't shout about it's credentials and still manages to slip under the radar.
You'll see people looking at it, thinking that it's similar to a B7 2.0TDi but then realising that it really is a bit special.

I suppose it's like the difference between Sophie Marceau & Kate Moss? & I know which one I'd rather be with........

If all dealer allocations have been allocated by now, then why on earth would Broadspeed be offering a hefty discount?
Similarly Autoebid.com

What would be the point? - it's all about supply and demand.

Peugeot Citroen are laying off thousands of car workers as their sales are down 13%
- times are tough for most people, even if it isn't exactly tough for some of us.
How many B8 RS4s will be sold in Greece, Italy or Spain this year?

I think that prospective speculators will end up with egg on their faces over this car. The reviews up to now have not exactly been so enthusiastic.

I will admit to hankering after the RS4 B8, but I'd wait to have a test drive before I made up my mind.

All the best.
