Work and back, which is quite a short 6 miles, 15-16mpg. On a motorway cruise if I'm really self controlled and stick at 70, then I can just see 23, maybe 24. Think I've only done this once though and purely as a controlled experiment Average range for a tank is about 250 miles, 230 if only town driving, 280 if some motorway is included.

Tests of fuel consumption where based on over the counter Shell V-Power available between 2009 and present day. Tests where done at a range of temperatures from -10C to 30C and various air densities. During testing tyre pressures fluctuated between 32 PSI and 30 PSI. Vehicle was loaded with between one and two people with a average English grocery shopping load. This test load was supplemented with an above average loading of 1L Gin Bottles and 1L Tonic bottles on every Friday night (enough to last the week) and a minimum of 6 standard sized 75 cl wine bottles. miles and gallons in Oz same as UK- imperial system, although we have now switched to metric.
I have seen for straight flat stretches of freeway over several miles,readings as high as 30 mpg on instantaneous readout. Most likely with some tail wind.

Average over trips in country more like 24-26 mpg. A very efficient engine.

You mix your G & Ts in the same ratio (1:1) as my wife....

In fact with her, to count as a G & T, the tonic only has to be in the same room !

Got 385 miles out of a tank when driving from Toulouse to Calais last month while on hols. Set the cruise control at 90 and did not stop until I nearly ran out of petrol. Not a good idea as all the crap in the bottom of the tank can go through the injectors.

As said before. If you have to ask then don't buy the car in the first place. 5 litre V10 is never going to be fuel efficient but its such a machine on the European roads. Just eats the miles up and your wallet lol.
