Camberly Audi gone to the Darkside ?

Post by gdavison » Wed Jul 11, 2012 7:35 pm

Called yesterday to book the RS6 in for alignment check (when I got the tyres changes there was a little extra wear on the inside fronts) and the ticking wheel bearings being discussed in the MOT No Problemo thread.. Left a message for Rob to call me back to discuss .. nothing ... Called again today left another message ... nothing

Poole Audi underwhelmed again today. From the bullsh1t about cost for oil at 65 units @ £1.41 each, to the no recalls despite my MMI 3G being a few versions old, and charging £3.50 for screenwash despite it being full to the brim before I took the car in, and no one being available to justify these costs (not enough oil, needs more than 6.5 litres ?!). Then demanding the £341.06 for the inspection service, and reminding me repeatedly how entirely satisfied I am about the whole affair, despite last week's fcuk over this service booking. Conveniently forgetting the previous litigation when they damaged wife's A4, and suggestions I should perjure myself when the fcukwit DP David Kelly was busted for alleged drink driving in an R8 last year (I drink with some mutual chums). It goes on. Rant over. If I ran my business like this, I'd have long since been in administration. But they're all the same !! (rant not over, I've got a second wind). Bournemouth BMW dealer Woods, (I love Bee Emm's too. Previously loved E39 M5 and E90 535D) had such a poor reputation and bad name locally they've sold to Ridgeway Group as were selling no new cars, how do they all expect to keep selling units without taking prisoners ?!. Fcukers, I'm buying a Mondeo.

Many many times waiting for the phone calls to be returned but never do. Even when trying to buy cars from Audi they are crap at customer service

Off to part ex my car for a focus and spend the rest on a holiday. :FIREdevil:

I was really impressed with Slough Audi yesterday. I took our miserable company diesel A6 in for some warranty work and a service. I was greeted at the door by the happiest person I've ever met. The service manager was courteous and friendly, the technician had plenty of time for me. They called to say they would need the car a bit longer but were quite happy for me to keep the (very nice) courtesy car in the interim.

Definitely taking the RS there if it continues.

Well we all know how Slough is known for the ease and amount of exotic pharmaceuticals on the street. The fellow on the door at Audi must have been high as a kite.

Go on Facebook to Audi's page and tell them in public how bad they are, I have!!

Just checked and they have deleted it! Wankers!! :bash:

AMG got special dealerships so has nissan, subaru, mitsubishi, even ford for there performance cars but we have to have some guy who has just serviced an A4 tdi all his life then gets his hands on our prize and joy!

Audi should assign RS dealerships with proper RS trained technicians may be then you wouldnt mind paying £90 an hour!

They might even repair your car 1st time??
Or even repair it lol

We've been telling them that for years.... Fact is that you have to go independent because there is no incentive to stay with the dealers.

I just had the feedback call from Audi. Seeing as they split the filter in the washer bottle next and cut a ty-wrap by the oil filter, I highlighted this and gave them a (generous) 5 out of 10. I emphasised that I was certainly far from 'Extremely Satisfied'. I'll post I anything happens from this.

Mine due for MOT at Swindon, who I've never dealt with before. They seem neutral in the sh1t vs good stakes so we shall see. They promote having an R8 technician, which I suppose at least shows some acknowledgement of the skills required.
During the booking the guy seemed a little indifferent on the phone, until I mentioned RS6. We spoke about the MMI and error code I get when tinkering with suspension settings, safe to say it was news to him, but at least he was attentive and interested, volunteering to ensure there were no recalls I should be aware of. He also offered me a webcam viewing of the MOT, (or something like that, I had a kid screaming at me) that I'd not heard of before?

I feel like mentioning the poor service so many dealers offer and that there is an opportunity for someone to clean up if they can perform car and customer service well! Knowing how many of us will travel to find the right dealer, I wish I had my own franchise sometimes...
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6
