It would be nice to hear a little bit about your ownership of it. It's one hell of a car on paper but sadly we know nothing about it apart from what has been said through the grape vine.

Would be superb to have that power with an auto box that could handle it.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

I like how Paul is of very few words but part of me wants him to say: "'Listen, my name's Paul and this is amongst y'all".
No matter where you go, there you are.

Seriously? I am just trying to help you get your car sold, hopefully you will prove me wrong and get it shifted sharpish. Chances are you have shifted many a modified car over the years like me but I am just being realistic as I have sold a fair few properly modded cars over the years. You are advertizing to an increasingly niche market these days with fuel costs etc and everyone puckering up like mad. If I sold my car currently I think even with everything on her I would be lucky to get much more than what I paid for her untouched/unmodded/unloved.

Going totally to the other end of the "how to do a car advert" disagreement, this is how I do an ad (2008) - http://www.ftaclan.net/fluffy/index.htm

Not trying to argue, just trying to make you see the light regarding advertizing your car but someone please buy it so he can stick 2 fingers up at me and be done with it like most of you want to :D.

Interesting this because although I get the point of writing a "War and Piece" artice to support an advert I can also see the point of keeping it brief to the point and specific when promoting the car. Maybe even more so with a car as heavily modded as this. I work in a world of online promoting, advertising and media and sometimes less is more and can be a lot more effective.

With this particular car a huge amount of work/mods has been done clearly and as has been said its only going to be of interest to a very select few out there who might not need to every single tiny detail in the first instance. Its probably going to be "yep thats mine or no its off the chart for me." Just my 2p worth and GLWS. Im not sure it even passes as a C5 any more though as just about everything has been changed!!!:)

Wow, fluffy was a nice car, did you keep the fluffy dice for Brutus? :biggrin3:

Only joking Nic! Seriously though, did you get on well with the jvc head unit, they have a good spec, almost compared to the double din Sony unit.

Christ Footlong, thats an ad! Although, there is no way on this earth, I would ever read all that... even if i were going to buy the thing. As you say, the opposite end. Fair play to you, that is without question the largest car ad I have ever seen. I wonder how much that would cost if you paid by the word in auto trader? ;)

I like footers ad. Makes me want to find out who has got that scooby and make him sell it to me.

If the new owner looked after it like nic did, that's be one hell of a good buy.

They sound bloody lively standard, let alone with all that done!

Confession. For those that care, that ad "cough"neglected to mention that I had removed the custom Garrett rotated GT35 turbo setup, supporting mods and had downtuned her accordingly just before putting her up for sale :rocker: . Well, I had to try to claw back some of the money spent and hell, it left the new owner something to do as I was giving the car away..... I last heard that is was hooning it around Winchester.

Swanny, that was 5 years ago now I think that I bought that head unit so couldn't really comment.

/broken record, again, every car that I have ever sold of mine I have sold almost instantly to the first buyer to see and all my ads are like that one. Hell, look at the XJR market. There are ones out there that have been on sale for months with no bites. I put mine up in October (S reg it was a very good spec) at sensible money and that sold in 1 DAY, to the first buyer, no haggling. Too much information is always, always better than too little information to me at least but meh.
