Thats quite a generalisation. I've bought a number of parts from there with no issue or problem. What I have always done though is to buy branded parts to reduce the risk, and it seems to have stood me in good stead.

Its a fine line. My old man used to work for VAG, and the parts prices were of comical levels of margin. You can get pagid pads from Audi for 6 times the cost of ECP. They're a branded part, may or may not wear at the same rate and same level of performance... (yes, if you take your car onto an air field and run it at 190mph, you may want OEM via the dealer, but lets be realistic here, 99% of RS6 owners have, and never will do such high speed) but even if they wear at twice the rate, they're still a third of the price in out-turn cost and will for majority of car drivers a better balance of cost and quality for cars that are 10 years old.
Present:...
Lotus Evora GT410 Sport, Caterham 420R, CCM Spitfire, VW T2 Bay Window 1976

Past:
DB11 AMR, 992, 991.2, Yamaha MT01, 640d Gran Coupe, 635d Coupe, RS6 C5, Audi TT 225 Coupe, Astra with wind up windows, Citroen ZX, Rover 213, yes behold, a Rover 213... Renault 5

Haven't put them on yet. But they look perfect. I'll probably put them on this weekend.

What bugs me about them is the way the sell parts as OE quality when they aren't. For instance they sell Pagid branded braking componants for the RS6 and we know that they are not the same specs as OE. Your average punter does not know this so thinks he / she is getting a good deal when realistically they are not. I been in the motor trade for 25 plus years now and have seen to many faulty parts sold by them. They also ruined the once great British company called Lucas putting a few good friends out of work so maybe i'm biased against them slightly

Why don't you get some from that ebay link I posted? That's where I bought mine.

That's a pain in the RS... Plenty of others selling them, though. There's a good seller on ebay.de for OE stuff: Ur1980. Might be worth hitting him up? He's got a site, too. I'll have a look.

I thought exactly the same and was going to question it, but knowing he'd sold to you already kind of made me think he's genuine. ( I thought maybe he simply didn't want to ship to uk )

I don't get it. Did you buy-it-now?

How about contacting him to say you don't mind waiting for a month. Have you got bad feedback? I've got lots of positive feedback including a fair amount from Germans, so that might explain it.

I used buy it now, paid instantly via PayPal and have 100% feedback. About an hour later I get a 'request to cancel transaction' due to being out of stock. I agreed and asked that he inform me when they're in.
I can't see any reason for him to be awkward..but maybe it's a trust thing, I haven't bought from abroad before.

Maybe ask him outright? Tell him you don't mind waiting for a month - that should provoke some kind of response.

You could always try Ultimot.de :

http://www.ultimot.net/Komponente.php?i ... ypWahl=179

I've been in contact with them before and a friend has bought from them.
