Wobbly wing mirror

Post by thespod » Sun May 13, 2012 1:54 pm

Hi all,

My drivers side wing mirror is becoming wobbly. It's always been a little that way but is getting worse.Feels like the top retaining bolt (assuming that's how it's fixed) is loose.
Any ideas on how to get access? Is it a door off job ?

Also, does anyone know whether the rear tailgate hydraulic arms that keep it open are stock or RS4 specific - they look like they could do with a change on mine.

Thanks

Neil

Sorted by MRC whilst in for major health check (3.5K worth!)
Bolt at top was loose.

8D9 827 552 F Gas Fill Strut

8D9 827 552 G Gas Filled Strut, for vehicles with reduced rear lid opening angle

Mine are the "F" version.

I guess the "G" version would be useful if you were in a wheelchair. It would mean you could reach the tailgate to close it again.

Both versions are just over £29 each from Audi.
