Can this be done, I've looked through the manual, surfed through the VCDS menus (I have a Vagcom), but no findy. Someone else must want to diable this function !

I've done this before, but not on an Audi.
I had to adapt it in J519, central electrics.
I changed mine from 3 to 5 clicks though.

Can this be switched on with Vagcom on a C5 RS6? My E55 had it and I really liked it.

Assume this is the "convenience" flash that you're talking about? - but I don't know what car you've got?
On mine (B7 RS4) it can be turned on / off via VCDS - cant remember where it is, but it's definitely there
On more recent cars it can be set directly in the DIS
Personally I think it's really handy - it's intended for use when changing lanes, the idea being you just touch the indicator stalk without clicking it into position and it does 3 flashes - each to their own though...
