mpg on way to work

Post by rosssavage » Fri Jun 01, 2012 10:08 am

Thought I'd have a look at my mpg on the way to work this morning. Pretty happy with that. Next week going to try and get it down to 6.

My wife got done by the fuel fairies last week. I left the car with about 30 miles showing. She gets in it the next day and obviously down to zero. So she goes to the local petrol station but it's shut. So she drives around for a bit but then decides she doesn't know where another one is so takes it home and parks. We both jump in it the next morning to go and visit some friends out of London and it starts spluttering and revving in a very bad way.

Anyway got a mate to drop a can a fuel over and made it to the petrol station. She says it's not her fault but I'm making her feel really guilty. Not told her about the fairies though

Had a real hoot coming back from work, feck-ing-hell, this thing is quick, It is worth pointing out 844 NM is more torque then a Ferrari Enzo! Anyway, I overtook three cars and a bus on a road that it really shouldn't be possible, had the Milltek popping and crackling, dancing around the redline and back on the overrun, really hammered it down my favourite country road, with the MRC stage two, it pushes you into your seat so hard, it is almost unbelievable. A little later I found out the speed limiter has most defiantly has been removed by MRC, note for C5 rookies, the plus wasn't limited to 155 MPH ;)
The car is an animal, my sister just commented that my car was making a weird noise, I went outside and it was just the brakes ticking away.
I have a rule, Friday is the day the car gets it, Mon-Thurs I only use the power if I need to, but generally it has an easy life, sipping on V Bastard. Tomorrow, I'm washing it again and putting another coat of Dodojuice Rainforest rub and some Zymol Z8 all over her. :kissmyrings:
Even after my mad Friday run, it is showing this MPG, I'm obviously not trying hard enough! Off to grab a beer, have a good weekend everyone. :beerchug:

That's how to drive a 6 Amar!

Your mpg is similar to mine, is the plus better on juice than a standard 6?
I used to own a 6, now I'm just a lurker!
