I keep forgetting about the stubby. Would get it tonight but have to go late night shopping tonight to get food so I can get 5p off voucher on fuel as the car is guzzling worse than usual (I MUST swap the bloody mafs around to confirm what is going on as she is knocking on 70p/mile in fuel currently with no errors showing up except for the heavy maf imbalance.....). All of that is due to a guy picking up the old wheels at 8am tomorrow, I have to exercise before that, then be in Watford for 9am to look at/buy a Leon Cupra R for Madam, to get back in time for a garden party from Midday. Sorry, you didn't all need to know any of that crap but hey.

Sorry but not a fan of black optics on the black cars, look too anonymous to me, too understated, at least the silver contrasts. I WANT to stand out as much as possible, always have done, always will do. I bought the wrong car to stand out in the first place. To most people my black Audi looks like the other 5.3 billion on the roads

Came quickly in official VAG packaging. The satnav still picks up just as many satellites even though the aerial is much smaller. You cannot go wrong.

Perfect, I will at least see how much VW here want for it first though . Don't you mean that the radio still picks up reception just as well as I was unaware that the aerial has anything to do with the sat tracking, surely the built in puck is for that. I loathe the inbuilt satnav anyway sadly, doesn;t get me near half the places I go to due to the awful postcode tracking.

Has no effect on satellite reception. My tests showed that radio reception was as good with the stubby as the original antenna. There's a thread on it somewhere.

Yeah, I was 99.9% certain that was the case thanks otherwise I didn't see much point in the roof puck.

Stubby aerial arrived today. Nah, really not loving it at all. Looks too short and there is quite a drop in radio reception sadly. Normally I can pick up Kiss FM just about ok from here and with the stubby in it is very patchy. The other half laughs every time that she sees the aerial, telling me that I have somehow emasculated the car. Will keep it on for a bit longer but methinks it will be going up for sale shortly.
