Next one the list is getting these bucket seats in and getting some 4 point harness. Also some perspex glass and Cup mirrors. This will free up about 20kg

@Dave, No mate, they have been doing a lot of filming at Brands for that new film (same one that was being filmed when we was at the Ring, cant think of name), so not many track days going on down there. I was there last Monday as I was seeing a friend down there but the clio was not ready then.

Are you and Nige still doing Silverstone next month? I did send you a txt last night.

Ok, Stumpy is doing this too right? If its all the green light with you guys I might come and get the clio down there. I have some unfinished business to do at Silverstone ;)

Made the most of the nice brake in the weather and got some jobs done.

Today I added a Nimbus heat shield to the bulk head, this is to reflect the radiant heat from the exhaust manifold from the break lines. I had this Nimbus shield left over from a previous project.

Then I attacked the brake duct cooling.

Removed the fog lights and trimmed some of the plastic mounting away, this fits fairly well and snug.

Attaching the ducting using black cable ties either side using the screw holes for the fog light.

I removed one of two horns and split the bracket, relocating the single horn a few inches higher up to stop it fowling the ducting. The tone of the horn sounds weaker, but will do for now and will still pass a MOT.

Putting the inner wheel arch liner back in, I then cut a 103mm hole and fed the ducting in place and tied it in using 3 pairs of cable ties.

Image

All that is needed now is a air deflector plate placed near the wishbone/suspension strut to deflect the air to the breaks.

Image

While the arch liner was off I decided to remove the acoustic valve system, also found this yellow piece of plastic in there too!

A little teaser of my Speedlines

Hope you enjoyed ;)

Seriously though, can I suggest you get one of these (if you're going to be doing much more cutting etc)
http://www.multimaster.info/en_uk/produ ... -top-plus/

There's some cheaper versions now by B&D etc... but trust me the Fein are still the best.
You can get blades for all sorts of materials.
Brilliant bit of kit (they use them on everything from fibreglass boats to laying wooden floors, cutting metal, plumbing etc.

I was being serious bud.
I've used one for a few years... pretty much rebuilt my house with it (well the fiddly bits anyway).
