Audi TT 180PS FWD

Audi UK are today announcing a 180PS FWD Coupe.
For the first time for a TT Coupe in the UK, it will be available as a 6 speed tiptronic automatic in addition to a 5 speed manual gearbox.

The prices are :

The specification for this model will include:

7J x 16 Seven spoke alloy wheels with 205/55 tyres R 16 tyres
ABS, ESP, EBD
Chorus II Radio/cassette
Driver and passenger front airbag
Driver’s Information System
Locking wheel bolts
Leather/Alcantara upholstery
Three spoke leather sports steering wheel (Tiptronic version includes gear change control buttons on wheel)

Initial launch cars will arrive in mid-July. Built-to-order cars will start in production in week 29 and both models will be available for ordering from today.

Drove one of those in New Zealand way back in 1999. It was OK, but the 225bhp quattro version is far far better.

Drive a new one in Audi Driving Experience school, 3.2 quattro 250hp with TipTronic. Im realy not impressed...its car based on WV GOLF IV...Teriblle handling!

You can't really compare a heavy V6 car with a FWD car with 180bhp (unless you intended going totally off topic). :?

Also the 3.2 is not Tiptronic but DSG and there's a huge difference.

yep, sorry, DSG..

Sorry for off topic...but friend of mine got it..its car based on GOLF IV, and he can get inside hub any engine, when its crap.Ende ;o)

It's not based on a Golf IV. It uses a shared patform design that the Golf also uses but the TT one is 80% different!
I don't think it's possible to simply say all Golf's are crap or TT's although this is justmy opinion and of course you are entitled to yours. :wink:

2 scotty: TT`s handling is like Golf IV...got many tests in newspapers about cars and watched on TV...so...i got GolfIV before, but 75HP, and handling was good for that HP, but TT with 180ks cant be!All other is audi,i know, but...reality ;o) is here, hehe, Peace!
