What determines the "Ebay Rare" on these minichamps models

Minichamps models were made in different numbers, some more than others so the prices tend to reflect this.

Are there any to look out for how can you spot a rare one eg serial number etc production numbers

production numbers and usually the price which they fetch on ebay, quite rare you will come across someone selling models on ebay and they have not got a clue what they are selling.

Some colours do not come up very often and if they do, fetch mega money.

I recently got a Sport Quattro by Minichmaps, Blue, paid £24, Blue is one of the popular colours, Red models fetch around £40 and the special edition model in Orange is the thick end of £100. God knows why colours vary the price, they just do unfortunately.
