The concept of washing a car with dirty bath water or washing up water is beyond comprehension !
But you're not allowed to draw water from a hose pipe, so, to fill up your watering can or bucket, you need to use a tap... so does this mean you just pop the hose off the outdoor tap and just fill <beep> up, sans £1000 fine?
I hate this.
Yes !

Fill the buckets from the tap. I remember reading somewhere that a hose is considered a hose if longer than a couple of feet.
There's plenty of caveats so speak to your local supplier as they're all slightly different.

Eg. I'm with Veolia Central and I'm allowed to use a domestic garden irrigation system.... as long as A: It's the drip-type (no sprays) B: It's on a timer and C: I have a water meter.
* As I don't have a water metre, they will install one on a 12 month trial (which I can then have removed if I wish).

Bonkers.

Yes you can !

I'm with Veolia Central and they changed their policy last year to allow customers to "change their minds" within 12 months.
I spoke to them last week to confirm.

Put your newly acquired jerry cans to good use; partner then up with a Kranzle K7 which can draw from a still water supply and then PW as normal.

Those nomads are sh1te for cleaning your car.

As I said I'd post my thoughts on the Nomad .. I got the 18V one (in Orange .. yahhh) .. I hoped the single charge would so the rims and the rinse .. however between doing the rims and starting rinsing the car I unknowingly kinked the hose and thought the battery was dead, so plugged it into the 12v and was "shocked to see how bad the 12v pressure was" .. however after a few mins dicking around I spotted the kinked hose, once sorted the 12v is as good as the battery when fully charged earlier, so thinks if you do get one and dont want full portability save cash and get the 12v plug in one .. did not go back to battery as it was in the house charging

First off ... Its no pressure washer, however thats not what I bought it for, I like a stream of water when I am doing the alloys as the RS6 C6 chucks a huge amount of brake dust onto the rims and cleaning them is a cow .. it does this job well .. yeah no where near as good as a hose pipe or a pucker pressure washer etc, but worked for what I wanted within the constraints of what we have these days

Then I washed the car, missed out the snow foam stage :( due to Hose pipe ban, so wet the car down with a couple of buckets as I wanted volume of water on the dust to soften it and start it lifting, 2 bucket wash as normal and then used the Nomad to rinse - one fill was enough to rinse the car and then I dried car as normal. Ok could have used a watering can to rinse and possibly used (I'd guess) about 5 to 10 times more water than I used with the nomad to rinse the car (one fill did a RS6 Avant rinse)

So does it do what I wanted .. yes... is it worth 200 quid .. yes for me, but its a gadget (I like gadgets) and 200 quid is 1.5 tanks of fuel to a RS6 .. to others who may be more focused of where 200 quid of hard earned money goes .. I'd say its not worth it

To be honest I can see other uses for it as well, such as watering the front garden plants where I'd have to carry numerous watering cans from the back garden tap (again to some would not equal 200 quid value)

So regrets .. for me none
