Hi Darren,
No there was no sign of the limiter, in fact I have done over 160mph on several occasions now, mainly in Germany, funnily enugh Car Mag show the top speed of their long termer as 164mph so I guess that the limiter is rather lax!
Annoying noises!!!
Annoying V78 becomes a V4 after fuel stop...
Hi,
Yes have the same annoying rattle when in low rev pull offs, which can be simulated easily by changing up a gear.
My S4 has done less than 2K miles but the rattle shows no signs of disappearing.
This weeked was a bit more traumatic though! After a refuel stop the engine started to vibrate heavily, the vibration being so severe the steering column was moving from side to side inside the cabin.
According to the fault log the system had detected a missfire on two cylinders and then shutdown the opposite cylinders, reducing my V8 to a V4 followed by posting a yellow engine error symbol on the dash.
After the Audi Technician reset the ECU it was not possible to replicate the fault which in his opinion was due to a software glitch.
Has anyone else experienced this behaviour?
Cheers Al.
