It was either them or custom code, but when I asked them what bhp gain I'd be getting on the chip, he had no idea, just told me it would be faster!

If the RS 6 were manual and I were crushing at 30-38 MPH, I'd have it in fifth, the stock TCU won't allow this. The better fuel economy is a nice bonus to this added flexibility, but I don't think anyone would have their car mapped for better fuel economy, although you could tell the misuses that.
So how much is a stage 2 remap with gearbox chip going to cost me ? I have full decat non res Milltek, ITG filters, Forge diverter valves, and MRC recon intercoolers. There seems to be differences in prices quoted and advertised.Doug_S2 wrote:Just to be clear - all our rs6 c5 maps get the gearbox chip.
The stage 1+ is the stage1 engine with the stage2 gearbox map with the shiftpoints changed and 5th gear at 30mph tweak.
Cars with full exhausts and intake get a custom gearbox map so the car can rev higher - and that depends on how the car performs on the dyno on high the revs are. You can have even quicker changes but it smacks into gear hard.
