Going for pre cat delete, stage two remap and tcu remap/healthcheck and a few other bits and bobs. I will get it dyno'd before and after. Doug said to expect between 520-530 BHP. I could get more if I went for a full decatt, and the Milltek catless pipes are only £500 odd and I will save on two hours labour on actually gutting the cats, so they work out about £300, if that makes sense? But I don't know friendly MOT men, nor can I be bothered with the hassle come resale. It SHOULD pass its MOT with a pre cat delete and map.

Your car must feel as underappreciated as Mev's mum yesterday (mothers day) every time you put the cheap fuel and inferior tyres on it. Then as confused as a TTRS convertible owner when you lavish it with Lobas. Anyway, it will be good to put our cars against each other in Germany (videos for the rest of course) and see what difference the Loba's make. I cannot wait to see the flames out of your car, will look pure evil.
1 96 ron............she hasn't had any for the last 10 days only vbarsteward or esso premium!!!! Boohoo I even let my morrisons 15p a liter coupon expire :FIREdevil:
2 bridgestones.......they will stay for the next 20,000 miles unless they get shredded at the ring!!!!! I will look at others but I won't be having Martin attacking her with his knobbly removeal tool!!!!

Shop assured me he is looking after mev's mum ;) I just hope some one has an onboard video camera while we are over there as it should be interesting :bigblink:

Seriously, I am wearing my 'bothered' face right now ;). If I wanted to change gears myself I would go back to a manual car. Every time I try manual on her, I go to overtake and just forget why I am not really accelerating anymore while halfway past something, then get pissed off and stick it back in Auto again, problem solved.

When the butterbox dies properly, I will get it rebuilt properly, better, faster, stronger, Steve Austin style. Not pratting around with a new Audi box and I want something that will handle 600bhp+ territory which is where I aim to be with her before we part company.

Moar throttle. What's the point of having a '6 if you don't floor it when you get to overtake something. You're not making them feel inferior enough this way.

I mean due to me forgetting to change up manually and staying in the torque band etc optimally and the gearbox sitting there screaming its nuts off towards the top of the rev rangeand not changing for me earlier automatically. I know how to use the throttle perfectly well, trust me ;)

Darling, I did that in my Jag on a number of occasions with madam in the car on a couple of stretches that are perfect for it (a road between Jct5 on the M3 and Farnham) is one of my favourite ones for mass plodding drongo overtaking when conditions allow it safely) and that was only on about 430 brake if memory serves with brakes that were there in spirit alone ;) Tell me something that actually impresses me as chances are I have been there done that, got the t-Shirt ;)

Now tell me that on a number of occassions you have overtaken around bends on dual carrigeway stretches in the wet while 4wd drifting and then we can talk, one of my specialities when I was a bit more loony ;) Not condoning driving like that but if you know your limits and the car, it can be fun every once in a blue moon.

/Edit sorry missed the inferior comment from Jcviggen and assumed Panda was telling me I had a small willy, which is clearly true.

/skulks off....

When I first had the car I was embarassed a couple of times by far inferior cars because by the time the slushbox had dropped down a gear or 2 then the other guy was way ahead and I was playing catchup.

Now when I see some 6 fodder approaching I switch to manual, select the right gear so that the turbos are on the boil and then the car takes off like a feline with 2nd degree burns.

It's the only way to fly...

^ What he said.

I spend 90% in Tip mode, auto is for traffic and sport is traffic light heroics. Trollfather reckons an R32 will do an RS6 off-boost... he's talking about people like you, 31cm.
I tend to live in my rear vision mirrors waiting for something to play with, when something interesting pops up I drop a cog or two to sit between 4000 and 5000.
Being caught off-boost is like having your mum (not Mav's mum) burst through your bedroom door on your vinegar strokes.
No matter where you go, there you are.

My problem is that I simply forget to change on the paddles guys. In order to bang through the gears quickly I need a clutch pedal and a gearstick. I just don't drive this car enough or for long enough periods to re-train my brain yet I guess. I have only been caught out a couple of times so far. I am thinking more and more about building this girl up as a warp factor 10 mile munching cruiser and building another 500brake lightweight impreza for keeping my acrobatic skills in check/craving for drifting, could just get another Evo but unless I am going track beast only, they lack refinement for daily driving. Madam would sterilize me if she saw this post!

I really do need to calm down my driving style and thought that with age it would but that simply hasn't been the case.

P.S. First Mev's mum, now Mav's Mum ;). Man, we are ploughing through them lol.

Lemme get this straight, you can't drop your fingers onto the paddles and pick a rev appropriate gear? Old dog much?
Find a nice piece of twisty and go through the gears, rinse, repeat. BTW do you have the MRC TCU map?
I use my thumb on the upshift, most of the time.
No matter where you go, there you are.
