Disappointed that it seems the spec isn't that "option rich" . SatNav, Bose etc isn't standard which is rather a shame on what is essentially the top of the range A4! I guess they've got to keep the headline RRP figure as low as possible but by the time it's specced up it's going top be pretty expensive.
I'd have rather they'd saved some money by fitting a manual 'box and thrown in a few more toys instead.

Let's face it the VAG satnav's are pretty sh*t anyway. Save yourself the dosh and either get a much better after-market version fitted in the console OR buy a Tomtom.

I've always been perfectly happy with the one in my RS4. Does everything I need it to , is clear and easy to use. OK, doesn't have speed cameras and 7 digit post code but certainly wouldn't describe it as excrement!

Fair enough. But I would !!

I think it's awful and requires far to many twiddles in operation to render it pretty useless when on-the-move.
However, glad you're happy with it.
In addition it can often be a tad late with it's turning information.

+1 Agree that it is awful, I use it when I have a general idea of where I need to end up but if its anything complicated like driving through Paris out comes the Tomtom and a large rifle....thats just for the French drivers.

One problem with the aftermarket systems is that like it or not they always dont look quite right when fitted so the next punter who buys the car is thinking they will just look for one that has it as standard....I know as I was one of those punters and I knew the system was <beep>!

LOL Tim. The RNSE is 8yrs old!

In technology years that makes it about 30yrs old!

Jump into a new Audi, like the one that will be fitted in the RS 4, with online services, google earth etc etc and Audi have THE best navigation and multimedia system in the Automotive industry

Full stop
