Re: How many?
They have only been out for a while......not quite as long as the RS4. With the RS4 B8 coming I bet it will stay below 1000. Rare?...yes. Good car?.....absolutely. Great car?.....mmmmmm. (would I have one?......yes)Dave_Hedgehog wrote:I have only seen one in the wild and one at my dealer which they have had for at least 4 months
581 registered according to this, which is not many compared to the 3000 odd V8 RS4s registered
http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=rs5
they seam to dump money pretty quick
I bet the B8 RS4 will get slated too.......it's too big and not manual.
Re: How many?
I think it's quite telling the jump from 2005-2006 on the RS4 when the car was launched.
508 RS4's in 2005 (so the last of the B5's).
1983 in 2006
3552 in 2007.
Take out the b5 figures and the B7 RS4 really monsters the RS5's figures - 3:1 in year one.
However need to take into consideration that 2006-2008 were the good times before everything fell apart world economy wise. A 50-60k 2 door coupe will always struggle in the hard times.

Re: How many?
I understand that the site 'How Many Left' relates to cars that are licenced (taxed) or unlicenced (sorn'd) in the UK as opposed to cars that are actually registered. The figures of RS4's registered will be higher, but cars that are stolen and never recovered, scrapped / total losses and therefore not taxed / sorn'd therefore not likely to go back on the road won't be included. It gives a better figure of those actually in use / on the road. I don't think it will take into account cars that are for sale at garages either unless they are still taxed. That's my understanding of it anyway...

Re: How many?
Just sold my B7 RS4 Avant.....you rate the RS5 that highly..?northernpar wrote:Had mine for just over a month. Sepang blue with all the extras. Came from a 57 RS4 saloon (had it for 3+ years and best car owned so far) and not regretting a minute of it.
The fact that not many folks have them only adds to the appeal. Only seen a white one up here in Aberdeen but suspect there's a few others.

Re: How many?
Saw a white RS5 parked up on a drive last Sunday on my way to Southend. Looked amazing, had to double take at first as it was the first I had seen in the metal.

Re: How many?
I live near Southend and own a Suzuka grey rs5 and was thinking I haven't seen one around but then realised we were round friends on the Sunday you refer to. So it could have been mine (as looks white!). Was it in Leigh on sea that you saw it parked next to a red a6?The_Coat wrote:Saw a white RS5 parked up on a drive last Sunday on my way to Southend. Used to have a grey b7 rs4 avant and swapped last summer after much deliberating! But rs4 was 5 years old so took the plunge given I found the right car with all the right toys. Love the car and s-tonic box is brilliant. Although not convinced on the arches - nothing beats the rs4 b7 arches!! No mistaking the b7 is an rs when you see one!
Re: How many?
In 2014 there were only 122 sepang blue with black interior sold in us. I got one
