I have a Tomtom too but although I don't use it much, I would like built in satnav without annoying power cables/stuff stuck on the dash etc etc. A neatness thing, sad I know.... The other reason for the RNS-E is for the DIS to continue to work for navigation, otherwise I would be looking at something along the lines of one of the Sony double DIN units with Tomtom built in etc.

Mr Footlong wrote: Keihin, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking of doing, thanks! Could you confirm though that the grilles do not touch the actual lenses? Concerned that if I do actually use the fogs, that I won't melt the grilles on to them after prolonged use.

Also, that housing looks standard, it is just what the lens sits in and then there is the front part that fits on, a la Amanda's pics?
No touching, and as already mentioned; they're metal.

The metal bracket holding the fogs is stock and untouched. Only the plastic housing is removed to allow more air to pass and to mount the WE grilles.

Thanks for confirming :). Since a few have posted about RNS-E, could any of you confirm whether or not your current speed can be displayed on either the main display or on the DIS?

Don't think so, I've had RNS E in my last four cars and not seen that. There is a way you can get it to display kmh on the climate control though, forgot how now.

Have a look at the useful info sticky for displaying the coolant temp on the climate control display. The speed will be another channel.

Right, sensible hat on guys :(. I haven't stopped spoiling this car since I got her, which was only in November. I have easily spent more than what I paid for her doing this and I have to stick a cork in it for a while. Otherwise I will just keep spending and spending and spending until she is utterly perfect and really has my mark on there. She is going to be a long term own so no need for me to do absolutely all the modding right now. Unless a set of Wagners with shrouds etc pop up brand new for a price that is is just too stupid to refuse then I will reserve this upgrade for say June when I bugger off on holiday :).

Meh, chances are that I will change my mind next week..........................

Not including the price I paid for her, about £15k, give or take a few hundred.

Ahhhhh join me then when you have spent a few more quid! ;) I could have brought a c6 for what it has cost me for both the car and the mods :assflash: But I made a choice to go c5 because I prefer the shape and the v8 noise :bigwave: Do I regret this ............................Not on my nelly :biggrin3:
