I don't understand, why are you modding the car if you are going to sell it? It's money down the drain and will put off people that are willing to pay a premium for an unmolested plus in a rare colour.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)

+1. Amar, darling, sit down for more than 30 seconds, take some deep breaths and have a really good, relaxed think about what you are doing. I would throw not a penny more at the car if you are going to be selling her, doesn't make sense as she is perfectly roadworthy currently. :?

The MTM TCU was just silly cheap thats all, and easily reversible with the standard TCU.

Amar - I have to say you will love a B5 but will miss the noise and straight line power from the 6. Its getting on a bit inside but I believe will become a classic and only around 500 hundred were brought into the country. Having spent many miles and hours in a B5 albeit some time ago they are great driver cars and i loved it but you will struggle to find a good one nowadays and will pay for the pleasure although this one does look nice.Wish Id kept it. Red and Avus are not the most desired colour despise what the purist owners think or say. Noggy or Black will demand a higher resid IMO. Mikey Quatrro has a lovely low mileage red one he was selling but I believe is now keeping hold of it... might be worth having a word though.

If your going to leave that miltek on the 6 Im assuming your going to black tip it to keep it in line with the Plus optics elsewhere?? I also thought the car looked superb with the spacers... why take them off? Mate you remind me of me when I was your age!! :)

B8 RS4 - Sepang, BO, Roof, Sports Sold
C5 RS6 + # 296 Ebony black, full optics, titans, carbon and natural leather - sold and missed
B7 RS4 Avant Daytona Pearl, black optics, SS+, buckets, privacy. Sold
B5 RS4 - MRC 420. Gone but not forgotten.

They were just a bit too much, and I feared if I hit a bump too hard or took a corner too quickly they would rub. The B5 should be just as quick in a straight line I would have thought, it is at around 460 BHP and I can get it to 500 BHP fairly easily too. I've already found a good one so that isn't a problem. Plan is to eventually make the tips on the plus exhuast black. I am not going to do crazy mods if I am going to sell it but the MTM box TCU, spraying tips black etc I may as they aren't anything major, it could be a while until I actually sell the plus, and I intend to enjoy it until I do.

I originally sold it to Dipper on here as had arranged to buy the one JimF1 was selling, but that fell through so in the end I swapped it with a guy Amanda found who wanted to put his RS6 to standard plus some £££ his way, but I have managed to sort another plus sports exhuast now encase I want to put it back to standard so that is not a problem at all.

I change my mind a million times a minute too Footlong. Had to stop and just admire it today as I parked up after work, in the freezing cold, it looked really good. Saying I'm going to sell it and actually going ahead with it are two different things, I'm not sure I'd actually be able to. Need to loose the V5. One thing is for sure, it won't be going anytime 'soon' for the time being like I said it would, it's mine all mine. Sorry Amanda/Dipper & the others :assflash: :biggrin3:
