Agreed. Out of at least 20 Asus mobos over the years, not one has failed on me and I have massively overclocked a lot of them. This sums up what I think of Asus moboss - http://www.ftaclan.net/clanftp/nick/gal ... aximus.jpgShoppinit wrote:Yeah, I needed them for the PCI-X slots, too. I think those boxes are all full if ever you need any more
The only reason not to buy Asus are: 1) You know nothing about mobos or 2) you have a gun to your head.

Haha, just got off the tube, look where the <beep> this thread has got to.
'Tis a crank bros licky. Got a million of them, been using their kit for years, 3rd set of eggbeaters now, I've get three pair of hard shoes so I probably consume 6-7 brass cleats per year.
I too only use Asus MBs!!! I stopped overclocking about three or four years ago, I decided to grow up, killed a lot of setups. Mostly for text extraction, TIFFing, PDF ect. I would've killed a hell of a lot more MBs if I didn't use Asus. A quality power supply and a mid range Asus MB of the moment, job's a good'un. I've done it all for cooling too, funky fans, oversized heatsinks, water cooling, phase. Now we just keep buying DL380s and slotting them in, it's rude how much work the 16 core jobbies can get through.

Re: Pics of mine - aka the blank canvas!
I'm really fecking scared about the similarities between some of us!
Luke, I tried and tried to love the Egg Beaters but I always unclipped from them too easily know matter which ones I bought and when launching yourself down the steepest looking gulleys you can find, I couldn't be dealing with that anymore. I have a couple of sets of Time Atac Titan Carbon XS pedals on the bikes and I haven't managed to break free yet. What bike(s) do you run?
I use nothing but DL380s in our Racks. When they aren't DOA, they just keep going ang going and going. I relegate the Dell units to VMware duties.... I have cut down heavily on overclocking these days but after running off an i5 laptop for 6 months, I got the itch again for a little overclock.
Bilko, Prommies were my babies! I built a couple for myself and did a few for friends. Had a couple featured in magazines waaay back when. Just dug out a PDF of the first one I did, the state of the cabling inside is shocking, wish I could go back in time and slap myself in to doing a proper job with it.... Awful picture, about 4 stone heavier than I am these days and some marker pen scribbled around my mouth..... Attached to give anyone who gives a sh!t a chuckle. As for team overclocking, no, too geeky for me but I used to co-run a fairly big gaming clan back in the day and go to Lan parties etc (not for a good 5/6 years now!)
loving the random direction of this thread, blame Bam

Re: Pics of mine - aka the blank canvas!
I ride fixie and I've never had an issue with the eggbeater, the reason I love 'em so much is the 6 degree float and that you can clip in forwards or on a rollback heel down. You can also flip the cleat and have a 15 degree float/release but I fell flat on my face the first and last time I used 15 degree.
EDIT: I ride a Dolan Kilo track champ with a Wing TT and a Cervelo Soloist with a Wolf. Road only. Tried every road cleat available, hated them all, settled on the eggbeater.
