Advice Needed!!
Re: Advice Needed!!
Also, speak to a friendly Audi dealer's service dept and tell them you're planning on getting a car that you'll be taking to them to service from now on - give them the registration and they'll be able to tell you the original factory spec from the Audi database - that way you'll know for sure

Alpine = aftermarket.Asif_lesta wrote:Thanks for that, what's with the alpine tuner? Is that a normal Audi unit then? Or is that aftermarket?
Audi OE parts are all branded Audi.

The vast majority of cases that have produced significantly less than 414bhp have been traced to problems with the vacuum system - which controls various flaps in the intake system.Asif_lesta wrote:Also what's the situation with the output of the 414bhp, I've heard some horror stories where they have come out much less than that. Is their any truth in that?

Yes, Bose was standard spec on the RS4 - at least in the UK.andre3000 wrote:the only upgrade avail for the sound system was Bose (which I think also was standard spec in these cars)

Mate.
i bought my old RS4 from them and would NOT buy a thing from them EVER again,The car i got needed quite a bit of work done after i got it and they ignored all calls etc, even ignored trading standards when i got them involved, warranty they give you is crap.
Only buy if you know 100% what to look for, the main criminal that works there is called Danny, dont listen to his waffle IMO.

Advice Needed!!
you can see the plaque on the door car in the picture.lengster1 wrote:There are alot of subtle changes to the interior with red stitching and inlays etc.the steering wheel looks plain not punched leather (looks pants imo) alcantara handbrake etc, exclusive models carry a plaque somewere on the door card i believe? It may well be an exclusive or be a well specced car thats been to the trimshop? Good luck tell us how you get on.
Would the steering wheel be worn at 35k? :/
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
Re: Advice Needed!!
Yes it is an exclusive the trim was about a £3000.00 option the belts were about £1000.00. There should also be the Mats with red piping which came with the leather trim plus the standard mats. The RS4 mats were another £400 option as was the alcantara steering wheel and handbrake handle. It has a high spec.

I remember a few years ago on here someone with the alcantara steering wheel posted pictures of it badly worn at less than 20k miles.sonny wrote:Would the steering wheel be worn at 35k? :/

I'm in the market for an RS4 too - I looked at the black one last week...poor reputation doesn't help I guess but looks like a nice car.
Are the seats on this one exclusive too? http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3578747.htm
I quite like the look of them although I suppose they won't be everyone's cup of tea...that being silver comfort seats rather than black buckets. Looks to be in good shape though.

Re: Advice Needed!!
Odd ... I would say 48,000 miles is that low...
And as for 'never out in winter or rain' - BS. I defy anybody to drive 50k miles in this country and not get wet!
Personally I would actually be more wary of a car that's say idle and babies like this than one that's been out and used and maintained properly. These cars don't like sitting around

Re: Advice Needed!!
Not exclusive, no - silver leather and silver headlining was a standard no cost option (option code QJ if you really want to know!!); not sure if the silver belts would have been an excluive pack extra though - they have might have come as standard with the silver. So yes it's a bit different, but the only cost options on that car appear to be black optics, privacy glass (or it might be aftermarket film) and poss' the belts. Are the seats on this one exclusive too? http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3578747.htm
Pale interior colours are a personal taste thing, but I know from having a Forester turbo with pale cream leather interior, it looked nice on day 1, but was a devil of a job to keep clean!

I like the light seats, but i dont like the light roof lining,i had it on mine and had it re done in dark alcantara

Re: Advice Needed!!
Is replacing the roof lining a costly job?
Re: Advice Needed!!
If you are lucky enough to find a dark roof lining on ebay, maybe about £250 or to retrim about £700junior123 wrote:Is replacing the roof lining a costly job?

Re: Advice Needed!!
Thats a nice looking, very well specced car, definitely worth going to have a look at. Do your homework tonight and make sure you ask lots of questions.
Re the alcantara wheel, I've got the same one but it's nowhere near as shiny as that one! First thing I'd do would be to have that recovered (like I'm going to do with mine shortly). It looks and feels great but is a bit of a pain to keep looking nice.
