Verrry interesting Sonny. Last time DK and I did that circuit, I had glowing carbon flying out of my exhaust too.
Car's been running really sweet ever since :-)

What tyres are you currently on? I deliberately didn't cane it too much as I knew the R8 would be a tad lively on those damp roads.
I was worried you guys would think I was holding back, so your comments are re-assuring that I wasn't being too restrained.

Nice for you all to come out and play. Managed to get the tunnel three times, third time by myself. Lucky I didn't try to keep up with you lot heading South as when I got back to South Mimms I found myself behind an unmarked Insignia VXR which then proceeded to do the next 25 miles Northbound so I was a littler slower home than on the way here.

Sorry I was lagging behind a bit but was conscious not to burn off a tank of fuel so that I could make it home without having to stop and refill! Great car and sound dk, sonny's still sounds good if a little tame now. Had my post drive shower and drink. off to get some shut eye.

Don't know abut the chunks but then it has never been one for sitting on the motorway at a steady 3.5krpm, maybe needed an Italian tune after driving miss daisy for some 300 miles and central London stop/start. There's nowt in the back boxes to stop that stuff coming out now!

Well spotted on the unmarked car PG. Must admit last time coming home from Ace Cafe I bottled out of blasting the tunnel on the way home, too many cars around. Glad you all had fun!

PS. Looking forward to getting on GYF1A2 :)

Good to meet up again guys and nice to meet you Graham. I could have done without that Fiesta (I think) pulling out on me at full chat on the 2nd tunnel run but sh*t happens.

DK, ASBO sounded like a thunder storm through the tunnel so I wound my windows down for N11LS to hear it too. It will be interesting to hear what he thought.

Yep, M25 entrance Westbound was closed so had to go to J24 and turn around. As soon as I got back past South Mimms it was solid traffic. There was a mahoosive motorway lorry that had tipped into the shingle in the slow lane so they took it down to one lane - nightmare. Left Tim just before 9pm and got in at 10:30 when I had people coming round at 8:30 to sort out a holiday booking - The Mrs was really pleased

He was tied up on the back seat (not heated) wearing a gimp mask and headphones listening to 'Too Shy' by Kajagoogoo!

He was in fact on the phone but I couldn't hear a word he was saying with us in the tunnel.

LOL :biggrin3:

Yeah I called Shane about 9ish to see where you guys were, his response was... 'hang on' (wound window down) and oh... my... god... the noise, the sound was immense, I believe you guys were running through the tunnel at this point, sounded like I was standing in the middle of a track surrounded by V8s, and that was through the iphone! So pissed i missed it, but I know you guys said you would be on your way about 8.30ish, just a shame as I was looking forward to adding my own V8 de-catted melody to the sound track already playing through the tunnel :D

Was also looking forward to finally meeting yourselves Sonny and Graeme, faces to names n all that

Once again, next time fellas

DK, at one point ASBO dulled out all other sounds coming through the phone, the scream as you sped past Shane was awesome mate
