Apols for the slight hijack of the thread but where did you get the cruise fitted? Bought a Daytona grey rs3 as a cancelled order and it was one of the few options missing. Just did a 1200 mile round trip to Ireland over Christmas and could have really done with it!!Dave_Hedgehog wrote:i had it retro fitted to my car, cost me slightly less than the optionIan_C wrote:Because its only £200 and most buyers would be wanting it. As you say yourself its standard on most cars nowdays.
its a must imo for driving in avg speed cameras, long distance drives in areas that you dont know and when your tired, too easy to get caught out hooning it RS cars when your not on the ball

Re: Buckets or not ?
Might be a bit of an age thing this as well (+50 Comfort -50 Buckets
) I'd love the Buckets but just find them to hard to get out off as I have a spinal injury. On top of this I tend to move the seat each time I get in so like Electric as well.
Btw: I’m in the +50 and specced mine with Electric Std Seats

Re: Buckets or not ?
I get the feeling this is a personal opinion thing and probably more an age thing under a certain age buckets a must, over a certain age comfort needed and as as a forty something whose slightly overweight so comfort it is then.
One concern that has been raised by this discussion is the problem of the electric seats raising the height of the seat to a point of impairing vision of making a good driving position hard to achieve, so once again I would appreciate thoughts, opinions or views on this.
Thanks

Re: Buckets or not ?
I don't think you'll have any problem.
PS. I'm approaching 40, not exactly as fit as I used to be and have a bad back.
Hence comfort all the way.
You're right about the age / seat thing I think.

Any opinions on the above?chrisrs3 wrote:Regarding the bucket seats on the RS3 audi charge £2045.00 as an option which i think is worth it. But regarding the other option of the audi Design package in Black Fine Nappa leather with quilted diamond design and red stitching for £2895.00 extra on top of the bucket seat option what do you really get for your money and is it worth adding this as an option or not?

RS4 manages without it the stitching and quilted design and looks good.
Re: Buckets or not ?
I went or buckets on my racing blue mica car, but the ibis came without but they are electic.
I would of preferred the buckets, but I'm certainly not disappointed with the tears ports seats, infact I was quiet surprised how good they are..

Got the RS3 buckets.. and I love them.
They are very comfortable when sat in... BUT they are a bummer to get in and out..
