I know it's slightly off the original topic of wheel companies west of London, but on the back of an earlier response, in my experience Spit & Polish in Tonbridge do a nice job on a full 'factory' refurb of strip, paint and oven bake finish (2-3 days) - local dealer also uses them. Agreed that a mobile service isn't a patch on the full workshop job if you want it to last - it's the oven bake process that will make the big difference

Worth noting though that S&P couldn't quite get a perfect match for the Audi satin titanium finish - colour was spot on, but lacquer not quite as matt as original, so looked slightly different depending on the light. I found this out when I used them a few months back to sort one wheel of my black edition A3 that a certain well known national tyre fitting company (who will remain nameless...) had made a mess of on a Friday afternoon - made no difference to me as it just meant that the tyre people had to pay for all 4 to be done to match

They quote £80 a corner, but I recently twisted their arm and they agreed £260 for all 4 for a factory refinish from silver to titanium on my Avus Avant (or indeed any other vulgar colour I could think of!) - still mulling it over.... :?

When i had my S4 done at Lepson i first went over for them to look at the wheels - they could tell that they had been referb already.

I was then given the option of what colour and finish i wanted - OEM or any other colour - was recommend Silver Chrome to go with the other Chrome on the car - was then shown a set already done.

Had the wheels done in Silver Chrome - which was slightly lighter and more shiny than OEM - but fitted the car well.

For a bit of History the guy that set up Lepsons used to work for Spit and Polish in Tonbridge.

I would be charged £50 each inc vat tops.

I would cetrainly try to get there prices down, maybe they start high to see if anyone is daft enough to pay it.

Remember we are in tough times so most people will expect you to haggle
Best of luck with that one as they were really busy when I had mine done last year.

Worth getting new valves too when you have them done.

They will be if you all go there lol.

I dont pay more than £50 a wheel unless there split rims.

I was just saying its always worth an ask for a discount,if not then people must have money to throw away

Just curious Jules - but what do you get for the £50 you pay ? IE what process does the wheel go through ?

As I said earlier I get a lot done,at least 5 sets a year plus probably another dozen or so friends I send.
They do what everyone else does, fully acid dipped, any kerbs etc filled and then painted very well.

Then tyres fitted and rebalanced.

I'm only having a slight dig as I think anyone charging over 60pound a wheel for a simple design like the RS
Is taking the pee a little.

But I suppose I shouldn't get involved as it's not me paying the extra money
