10mins to fit, why did it take so long? I guess you are a Merc driver and you're obviously ancient, did you throw your hip out when trying to install it?

A new Mercedes owner was out on an interstate for a nice evening drive. The top was down, the breeze was blowing through what was left of his hair and he decided to open her up.

As the needle jumped up to 80mph he suddenly saw a flashing red and blue light behind him. "There ain't no way they can catch a Mercedes," he thought to himself and opened her up further. The needle hit 90, 100 110 and finally 120 with the lights still behind him.

"What in the world am I doing?" he thought and pulled over. The cop came up to him, took his license without a word, and examined it and the car. "I've had a tough shift and this is my last pull-over. I don't feel like more paperwork so if you can give me an excuse for your driving that I haven't heard before, you can go!"

"Last week my wife ran off with a cop," the man said, "and I was afraid you were trying to give her back!"

Now forgive me for being totally stupid, but we are on an Audi RS forum still aren't we?

My vantiy bulb's are near to my vanity mirrors, I find them more useful there rather then down in the footwell. I know my wife is small, but even that's way to low for here to use. Noticed you went to Halfords for the bulb thought, was that because your Merc dealer didn't know how to help you then?

Hey Max Stupid is as Stupid does if your too thick to notice your RS has them as well, for the un-educated they light up the footwells which means by your comments that yours are not working, went to halfords because it's a 10 min walk but hey if you go to Audi everytime you need to but a bulb then as i said stupid is as stupid does.. if you have taken the time to read the forum I would say that it's the Audi dealers who are cluless.

Bam your still trying too hard maybe it's your crown I am after, after all it's always your comments that are trying to be funny

Steve, Steve, Steve - it's just banter, calm down, men of your age are prone to strokes. Ask the nurses in your carehome to make you a tepid cup of Horrlicks.
So what if the Merc boys won't give you a crown on their little forum, have my crown of <beep> if it means that much to you. Just one thing though, it's an Audi crown so you can't wear it. Bitter sweet.

I don't know about anyone else but my vanity lights are the backside of my sunvisors, with my vanity mirrors (the hint is in the name). The courteous/convenience lights in the footwell are working fine though, if that means anything...

Well done Steve, now put your cardigan on after you finish flogging that dead horse. We wouldn't want you catching pneumonia.
