Bitten the bullet on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2

Post by wolfgang » Mon Dec 05, 2011 4:04 pm

After a fatal puncture that I noticed this morning (tyre unrepairable), i've decided to get all four tyres replaced as the tread was fairly low. I've opted for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's and my local ATS are doing all four fully-fitted, including Nitrogen for a shade under £1K. I'm getting them fitted tomorrow so will provide an update on their performance after a few weeks.

They seem to be fairly well rated here: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Goody ... tric-2.htm

What size are you guys getting the Goodyears in ? the standard size seem to be rarer than rocking horse sh*t - unless im just looking in the wrong places.

Always had the Goodyears on my S4 and thought they were a great tyre

horses for courses on here, I would never by 275s, but others prefer them for the rim protection and they fill the arches out more.

Greater fuel economy, rougher ride due to the smaller profile and the calibration will be out on the speedo are just a few of the downsides.
