Right well as expected, the Touran wiper arm went on perfectly this morning, only thing is that the cap is a fair bit bigger than the original one so you have a big rusty nut staring at you! Going to paint it black just so I don;t notice it so easily.

I plastidipped my bearer bonds. Now I can't distinguish them from the plastidipped toilet paper. I recommend the latter, by the way. Saved a fortune by wiping off and reusing :)

Too dark for a pic now but if needed then will do in the morning. Not sure if I really have any need to change the fronts tbh, I would need to see pics of aero fronts on a car looking life-alteringly better to justify it ;).

I can't even remember why I changed mine now. Just made an impulse buy, I think. They don't work any better. Possibly they make it look slightly more modern. The arms are tucked more out of the way with the aero ones, so there must be less drag. There's your justification right there ;)

Decided that although done very very tidily, LED lights could be ok possibly, the likelihood is that they they will look chavvy and therefore have no place on the car

Agree about the rear lights.

Did you mod the wiper motor to park on the right then?

That's the funny thing, I didn't! The garage that I took her to in order to give her a big service, as I do with any car I buy, told me that the rear wash motor was leaking and needed replacing. Told them 'Git 'er dun' and that was the end result. They never freely tell me where they get their parts from but I believe they had to get in a genuine vag one from what I was told at least.

All I really know is that it was £82+VAT from them and the part number on the invoice is 487440510 which doesn't Google owt. Do you want me to contact the garage to ask if they could poss give me more info??

That would be good. Better than opening up the old one and supergluing miniature components. Not sure having mine on the left bothers me enough to actually do anything about it, but I do enjoy the odd impulse buy and when I've got the part number to hand I don't show much self restraint.
