Hi,
Looks like i need to book my car in for the mild kangarooing/misfire.

Anyone used Cheshire Oaks Audi for RS4 work?

They are my local dealer, PM me if you prefer.

Thanks,

I have used them a few times.

Friendly service, they did some warranty work and recalls for me. Servicing is expensive when compared to other dealers but they will come down on price if you haggle.

No major problems, bit of a mix up with a booking time but they went out of there way to sort it.

I sent a customers car in that was under warranty ..

The repair was 1/2 done , parts were missing and some bolts loose .

Both front wheels had loose wheel bolts as they were not torqued up ..

When i called and told them in a very friendly way they got very shitty with me ..

I sent a couple of customer to them who cars under warranty who were less than happy ..

I live in Chester and have dealings with them over the last eighteen months.

First case was a new steering rack under warranty - no issues.

A couple of weeks later I started to get a "slapping" noise from the rear which was diagnosed as a leaking shock causing a pressure srop in the DRC system (I think that what it was called). They replaced two shocks and the problem went away. About two weeks later (and no longer under warranty) the same symptoms returned, this time due to another shock leaking - repressuring the system had obviously identified weaknesses in the remaining original shocks. The remaining shocks were replaced "under warranty" and I 've no problems since.

They've serviced it and did the MOT - by having it MOTed by them I got some sort of insurance for a tenner that if it failed next time around on non-wearable parts they'd fix it for free. They were true to their word when this year it failed (small part of a rear coiled spring had snapped) - they didn't argue about it, just got on and did it in a very polite way.

My only gripe is you need to book a long time in advance if you want to borrow a car while yours is being fixed.

I have used Cheshire Oaks Audi for a number of years now with a variety of vehicles. I have always found the customer service with the service department staff is 1st class. I made the mistake of taking one of our cars to a 3rd party garage on the Wirral (BIG MISTAKE). They couldn't fix it and had to take it to Cheshire Oaks which just made the visit a waste of time. The 3rd party tried the usual trick of blagging the repair that was needed but Cheshire Oaks fixed it 1st time and supplied us with a car even though I didn't book 1. I have noticed that its these 3rd party garages that post negative feedback of main dealers on these forums. Is that because the 3rd party knows that they are not up to the job but just want to take your money anyway?
