New C5 RS6 owner from South Africa

Post by shamierc » Tue Oct 11, 2011 1:22 pm

hi guys

Recently acquired a C5 RS6. It has a few issues but nothing too bad. Ive lurked on this forum occasionally...looking good.

Previous car was an 8L S3 with a full gt3071 conversion

The wiper was not holding the bonnet up, everyone asks about that :bash:

and this was our first sun spider for the year...the tile behind it is about 25X30cm

Have a few friends from Joburg, whats it like for jacking around your area? I would be scared to drive that car through some of them areas, or is it not as bad as seems?

Carjacking and crime has diminished quite a lot in the past few years in SA. That's not to say we still don't have issues in this regard. I live in high end suburbia so am well removed from the worst of it. Also its far easier for the thieves to shift high volume cars like Golfs, Toyotas and pick ups so those get targeted more.

Did you get down to the Joburg motorshow? There was a T Moss B7 A4 there from Audi Sports https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =3&theater
