Need a new Windscreen

Picked up a stone chip which is developing into a crack which requires replcement.

Is there anything specific I need to let the glas people know before they come and fit it.

They asked whether it had a purple or gren tint and a darker band at the top?

Just want to make sure they dont turn up with the wrong one

It's solar reflective - supposed to keep the car cooler. Had mine done a couple of weeks back - took the original out, glued the new one in then realised it was the wrong one (prob from s8) so pulled that off and had to stick a normal a6 one in until the could get the correct one from Audi - was 7-10 day back order like most parts!
£70 through admiral, bit of a pain but was my own fault - was changing wiperblades and pinger the wiper arm (sans blade) into the windscreen

IIRC there are three types of screen that can be fitted, the solar, regular and something else the Autoglass dude said. Just make sure that they refix the mirror correctly as mine had the cover come off and the cable was not reconnected.

Thanks - I phoned Audi and they confirmed that I had a regular screen green tint with grey tint at top

I did mine a year or so ago, just get them to double triple check the size as the RS6 screen is slightly longer than the standard 6 - think they are the same as the allroads' if I remember correctly.. Took a few weeks to sort in the end as it was on special order?!.. Annoyingly I got a small stone chip right in my eye line so am going to have to get mine done again soon..

Weird, when I called Audi they told me the solar one was fitted in all rs6's as standard? My latest (3rd) one seems most like the original...
