Shoppinnit is that the thread of that black MTM saloon? It doesn't look to tricky but if the bumper etc are coming off for the belt then Grizz might as well do them whilst he's at it. I know these leaking can kill turbos, would they effect performance too?

This one:

http://www.rs6.com/showthread.php/18725 ... -procedure

Leaking they will affect performance because your turbos will be slower to build up the specified pressure, plus the ECU will be dialing back the amount of fuel it's sending because the lambdas will be reading a rich mixture because of the metered air escaping.

If the leak is big enough then you won't make specified boost pressure, but I think you'd hear it in that case.

Once the bumper is off it's easy to remove the intercoolers. I've got a feeling that plusses have the additional radiators behind the intercoolers which makes them slightly more difficult to remove than a car without them. Still no biggy though.

Thanks, that's a good link. Where is the useful links thread? I'm tempted to have a go myself if I can get the time, if not will get Grizz to do them.

Your talking around 3 hours to get the bumper off and change the coolers Amar. I brought a pair of leaking coolers off Grizz, i repaired these and left them to cure then did the change in one go. Your unlucky cause i only sold mine to Syd a couple of months back dirt cheap.
When is Grizz picking the beast up? I wouldn't really be using the car if i was you while they are leaking.

Thanks for the pointers guys. Car has done about 20-30 miles I reckon in three weeks. Now I know the intercoolers are leaking, it wont be driven at all. It will be going to Grizz first week of November.

Does anyone know if I would be able to buy new plastic lenses for my headlights? So not the whole headlight itself. I reckon some nice shiney new ones would look cool. If someone could check Ekta and get me a part number or price, I'd appreciate it.

Parents might finally be warming to the car now after they realised the only way they were going to get their new washing machine from the cold Currys car park home was by calling on my Avant. The noise it made today after I'd pulled it in against the walls as I revved it a bit oh my good lord, it was immense.

Tried some 15mm Eibach spacers each side on the Plus today, got these for the A8 but didn't get around to fitting them to it so thought I'd put them on as a test. I reckon 10 mm each side will be just right.

Thanks, I've seen that before but wanted the easy option - replacing them.

Amar, where did you / will you get the spacers from? Do they come with proper extended bolts? They need to be the ones with the floating, rounded, captive washer.

Christ I'm not sure I'd want spacers, the alloys are easy enough to kerb as it is!

Love the way you collected the washing machine without bothering to fold the rear seats down!!
