Well people,Lee very kindly let me have a drive in this last night :biggrin3:

All i can say is wow,it feels really quick,a proper kick from behind when you floor it and nice smooth delivery.
And the sound is just crazy,i'm hoping when i do the downpipes it will sound similar.

How can i ever drive mine again

School boy error Jules!

Best you dont drive yours for a long long long time, maybe switch to a Nissan Micra for a few weeks and then get back into yours!

The radiator can also be ordered in black (not as efficient as silver).

Dyno plot..

Image

The dyno operator noted that the plot seems to have shifted to the left slightly (red line 8000rpm), despite the fact that the tacho pick up lead had recently been replaced.

Figures were measured at the wheels. I for one don't buy into this 'guesstimated' crank/clutch horsepower nonsense that helps manufacturers/tuners post 'big' numbers for marketing reasons. If you're into crank figures do your research, but it seems to me that % loss for quattro systems are often quoted as being 23-25%. Either way, I couldn't care less....until there is a proven, accurate cost effective way of measuring crank hp. Besides, the best comparable data is generally US based, all quoted as wheel horse power.

I wanted to measure for worse case scenario and not cold runs (well as far as I can go with 3 dyno runs). Luckily, the weather was warm, with the in dash temp display showing 27.5 to 29 degrees C. I ran the car hard for about an hour. It was then parked in the sun for about 15 minutes before being dynoed. Ambient temperature at the dyno was 30.91 degrees C. Three runs were conducted and all were similar.............and there you have it, 453.8bhp with 409.19ft-lb at the wheels.

Look good Lee, is there any way they can try and incorporate the carbon firbe parts, esp the part that covers the throttle housing?

Apart from that looking very good.

Actually Sonny, the throttle body area doesn't appear so messy in real life as it does on the photo......mind you, that's from the prospective of a short-arse.....you probably don't need to 'tiptoe' to wash the roof! :D

Shame about the bonnet bulge, that spoils it for me - I prefer the stealth look.

It's way better than what it looked like originally with the scoop in place when it was bought.

Thats some mutant there. Nice work :blackrs4:

Will keep my Manc eyes peeled for you - you shouldn't be too difficult to spot :jump_clap: :jump_clap: :jump_clap: .

Can't see any prices on the website. Was this anywhere between a fair lot of money and awful lot of money :bigblink:

Also those BBS's look sweet - are they 20's or are my eyes deceiving me.

Thanks Dave, the car drives absolutely superb.
I'm a bit weird in that I never get impressed with stuff straight away, it takes a few days along with varying driving conditions before I start to 'settle in'.
I think I reached that point at about 2am this morning when I had the roads to myself. Everything just started to click into place and that feeling started to come over me.
Despite the cost involved.....I can honestly say, for me, it was worth it.
