As with all decatted cars, you just need a 'friendly' MOT tester.

In terms of the Plus' valuation, decided to keep her another year and then think again. Like many others, the C6 RS6 is becoming an increasingly tempting proposition so we'll see what happens to prices... :D

Cheers,

Good man. They'll probably be under £20k if the IMF continue their forecasting and talking every bloody economical thing down.

If you check back through old forum posts you'll see that I paid £25k last July for my 16k miles, 1 owner car. I have now spent over £6k in mods, of which I have always worked to the rule that you can recoup at least 30% of the value at resale.

I am happy to hear any sensible offers bearing the above in mind, but happy to keep it if not.

It won't be the cheapest you can buy sure, but you get what you pay for and I'm confident this is the lowest mileage, best specced Plus on the market.

mart, your assumption of 30% recoup on mods is flawed IF you leave them on the car

IMO, if you leave them on the car, you recoup 10% max

take them off (if possible) and recoup 50%

My statement was based on experience rather than assumption. I have been making sensible mods to my cars for ten years and always ask for 30% of the mod value when selling. It just comes down to being patient and selling to someone who values the mods. At the end of the day, a car is worth what you are prepared to pay for it. Some would say that I paid way over the odds for the car last year, but the seller valued his car highly and I was prepared to pay the asking price due to the mileage and condition.

I'm happy to wait a year if I have to, or not sell at all. :)
