Bumper respray cost?

Post by Danbo » Sun Sep 18, 2011 5:45 pm

My wife's sister has just reversed into the back of my car! :audibash:

Damage does not appear too bad but will need a respray as her numberplate screws have chipped the paint. Any idea how much a full bumper respray would cost?

Cheers for that! Not as bad as I feared.

Personally i'd avoid dealer bodyshop, they cut corners. You want the bumper removing, stripping down and painting. If you aren't clear on this they will mask up and spray it on the car!

Paul, that must be at internal rates

I bet Audi price all in is c£400

I had mine done at an indy for £300

Also I would avoid audi and go to a small recommended place

Might be although Maidstone Audi do it offsite, not sure who they use though.

Well I took the car in for a quote at Audi Epsom today. They would be removing bumper, stripping it back and repainting.

Will let you know the price once I get the quote through. Will also be getting some Indy quotes.

Shouldn't be too expensive, I have an entire bonnet respray for £300 cash from NE Audi bodyshop so a bumper should be roughly the same.

Had a bumper respray priced up just the other day at Wayside Audi MK....£400 all in. Bumper would be removed, stripped (all vents, lights, sensors etc) and painted then re-fitted. If it is sprayed on the car and the sensors are sprayed it can cause them not to function properly.
