Hi - newbie here- I just came over from the s2forum, one of the guys on there, Lee, posted about your track day...

When do you need confirmation, I'm tempted, haven't done a track day since Castle Combe in 2001! Seems like a good price and a good circuit.

Do you know if there will be any tyre people there? Last time I had to get a couple of rears to drive home (I don't have a complete set of Track day wheels/tyres unfortunately)? Are there any cheap/decent hotels near by?

The circuit looks great, some scary speeds should be seen on that main straight?!

(ps - will I be allowed along, I've not got an R, but it is a decent S2?!)

Welcome to RS246, it's always nice to see new people joining the site. You will be more than welcome to join us on the track day. You can arrange for tyre people to come, I am sure any of the guys who have done this in the past will be able to answer this for you.

Dan, Welcome mate. You could get a mobile tyre fitter to come along but I am not sure if they would be prepared to attend at 8pm. Which wheels do you run? I have some 16" Avus with some legal tyres if you want to borrow them to get you home. They are sitting in the garage doing nothing. Are you sure you can't make it home after the trackday on your rears? Its a Friday so you could always book it in at home for the following morning for tyre fitment.

John, put my name down for this one. I hope we get the numbers to keep the price low. I have no preference for days so long as J have enough notice to book time off work.

As Dan says, I have pointed the S2 guys to your post over here so we may get a few more to come along.

I've got 17" RS2 replicas. My rears are down to under 2mm now, and I know they'd get a real thraping on that circuit (I'd get good grip though!)! Hmm, what to do... I have to drive to Derbyshire the next morning to go to a wedding which could be interesting on slicks!

They seem to make a point about noise levels - has anyone ever experienced any problems with noise from sensible sports exhausts?
