Aslong as the RS6 grill is bigger than the RS4 grill then its doable.
Its just takes some time and be good with a dremmel lol

I'll look in to it and let you know,we need someone to measure up there RS6 grill.

It can also be done with a number plate plinth fitted that cam easily be removed for shows. Not that you would be bothered about that lol

This is killing me. Jules - your air'd B5 actually makes me want to do the same on my C5, if I didn't want to cane it so much all the time I'd do it. Looks so nice and I bet it'd be a site more comfy than coilovers, ne? Big rubber stamp from me and I'm usually in the anti show-car crowd.

Unscrew the number plate plinth, and this is what you are left with !

I gather something that can't be done with the B7 RS4 since the number plate plinth also contains parking sensors so you would also have to perhaps disable these using VCDS or rehouse them somewhere?

Exactly that P_G.I was also thinking the same, anything is possible, the harder the mod the less other people will want to do
it as they see it as its not worth the hassle. So definately the sort of mod i like.
I was wondering the same if the front sensors could be disabled.
Also re housing may be possible if im going to get the front end repainted.
It may even be possible to mount into the grill, but this may effect the nice clean look of the grill.
I also like my idea of a shortened carbon skinned recess

Cheers bam bam,i havent seen a rs6 c5 on air, that would look pretty damn phat :rocker: The ride is good and still feels firm, certainly not wallowy, but
as you say if you love to cane it all the time, then probably not the way for you.

I hope you like the future mods :D

What's the legalities of running a smoothed (no number plate) front-end?

In the UK, illegal without question - only bikes don't have to display a front number plate.

In the US, it depends on the state.

Other countries - ?

As Dave says, its defo illegal to run no front plate.
You can fit the rs6 grill and still have a number plate plinth fitted, thats what my mate did and removes for the shows.

I ran mine on the visor, certainly not recommended for daily drivers,i was lucky though.

Well yep,you were all correct,i went to Milltek yesterday and had my non res exhaust fitted and boy does it sound good.

2 problems though,1 the mpg has dropped and 2 i may get a cold because i drove most of the way home with the window open

I went for the system i know a few of you arnt keen on,partly because i like to be different and secondly as it may be easier to do some custom pipes
in the future.
