You’re welcome Victor, just trying to cover the main important issues.
I know what its like to make a decision on buying without having seen the car and I went through the same process with mine from Wakefield Audi.

He mentioned the guy who was in for a test drive was looking to trade in an R32 but he’s also getting married at the weekend.
Getting a new car just before you get married seems to be a strange combo but maybe he has a very understanding wife!

Difficult for me to comment on Mug blue as my preference has always been Sprint so I’ll be biased to that!
It was grey and overcast yesterday so hard to tell. At the National Meet a couple of weeks back one of the guys turned up in a Mug Avant which looked surprisingly good amongst the other ‘regular’ colours, more so in the sun.
I guess the only constructive comment I can make – without being too opinionated - is that the bodywork is in excellent condition.

Yes, i had the Sprint for 2 years, i was the same as you it was the only colour i wanted at that time, but i have seen a saloon in Daytona and it does look very good and 'different'.
Maybe the guy is getting a new car because he knows once he gets married he's got no chance :bash:
Mint Optic Pack saloon in Daytona Grey (Now sold)
B7 RS4 in Sprint Blue (Gone to a very good new home)
Evo V1 (wish i'd kept)

I owe you big time, i've never ever seen such an depth inspection of a car and it's not even for you !!
I don't want to get into a bidding war with the guy that may want to buy it, as my first colour preference is Daytona grey with a standard sunroof, not solar, but if he backs off i may well give it a go, but it will have to be at less money.
I've never seen a Mugello blue in the flesh, how did it look ?
Well done Pie !

Victor, colour choices are obviously subjective (I drive an Avus .... and love it). Mugello looks great in the flesh. Especially when freshly cleaned.
Pauls Avant is the b*llocks for "looking good".
Personally I prefer it to Sprint and it doesn't seem quite as common..... at least not in York ;-)

Maybe phone around your local dealers to see if they have anything in Mugello you could check-out?
VW Toe-rag V6 R-line.... no curry hooks...wtf ?
Gone: Avus Avant B7 RS4.... plus curry hooks !

I'll second everyone's comments, beyond the call of duty Pie

A few small ripples along the lower part of the door (2" strip just above the sideskirt) but I've noticed I have them too. Inherent issue on RS4's?

OPE = Orange Peel Effect
Something inherent in most contemporary cars unfortunately; to do with how cars are cured after painting.
Gone: Audi RS4 Avant, Alpina XD3, Smart Brabus, McLaren 12C,

Great description & pics Pie - next time I'm on the look out for a car I will give you a call :bigblink:

IMHO, Mugello has a classy look about it, but maybe suits the Cab better.

Inverurie - went to pick up the wife's RS (Focus) earlier this year - a long way!

I love that colour. If I had the chance again, I think that's what I would go for.

( I know what your all thinking, but I'm not )

I'm going to see a 57 Daytona one, my first choice colour, next week but they're all asking too much money !! with no swopper hoping to negotiate

07 RS4s dropped £750 in the guides last month, but it's not being passed on to the cars for sale, yet !
