New BMW 6 Series

Post by jonno1 » Fri Mar 19, 2004 2:18 pm

Just had a walk around the new BMW 6 Series Convertible (645Ci) - was surprised - looked really good in Black with huge alloys. Nice £67K price tag too for the fully loaded one they had.

Just read about the planned M6 in Car Magazine. Looks good as you'd expect - a 5.5L V10 with 550Hp and a 7 speed sequential box. But the catch is that it is rumoured to cost about £75K before you get started on ticking those options boxes.

Test drove 645 coupe at local BMW garage, nice......so nice I put my name down for one. Only problem appears to be that there is a fault with the alarm module and BMW won't release the car until 12th April for those who have already ordered.

It'd be nice to see BMW fit their 3.0l v10 in a road car.
The engine rebuilds every 700 miles may be a bit of a hit, but 900 BHP from an engine weighing in at 80kg... whooooooooooooooooosssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh :)
