Well 320 miles and 7 hours later all I can say is what a fab weekend. Thanks to everyone for coming along and making the day excellent. Loved the venue, food and most of all getting to put faces to names.

I do hope that next years meet is even better - looking forward to that.

We travelled back on the A68 - blooming 'eck.... what a rollercoaster of a road. At one point 22b's wife and I (she was in my car) screamed with fear as the road disappeared then we laughed about it for about 3 miles afterwards.

Hope everyone got back safely and the only points collected on this trip was v-power.

Oh, and thanks PhilT for the Sticker..... its on the car.

Haha... yes good point ! Thankfully it was dry until about 30 miles south of Aberdeen. You'd think I'd never seen sun before. 22B suggested the badges - it was a great idea. Hope everyone kept them for next time :-)

I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said....was my first ever meet (& convoy!) and it was just a fantastic day.... :biggrin3:

The convoy up from the south was great fun...wound my window down every time I could see Sonny or Pad125 (with his Tubi exhaust) approaching in my rear view mirror! My god those cars are loud....even if they're not in Danny's league! :D :D

Oh, and Mac/Scaghead/DK - our little burn from the traffic lights on that roundabout...I reckon I'd have had you but DK was slowing me up... :bigblink:

Was awesome to see such a gathering of cars, and to put so many faces to names. I know I didn't get a chance to speak to everyone, but those I did speak to (whether it be the owners, wives/girlfriends, co-drivers, etc) were all so friendly, knowledgeable & fun to chat to. And the quality of the cars was breathtaking to be honest...my standard sprint blue saloon looked pretty ordinary compared to most of the other cars there...and it's not very often I think my car looks ordinary!

Thanks again to Iain, Sue, Caldy, Laura and all the others who helped organise this - can't wait for next year already! :jump:

What an absolutely quality weekend. Everything really could not have been any better,- turnout; excellent, location; superb, weather; perfect, company; brilliant, digs and food; excellent.

Thanks to all who helped me (Su, Caldy and Laura) and to those of you who made the effort to come along and support this first ever National Gathering of B7 RS4’s, it was a truly fantastic sight seeing them all together. It was also great fun on the convoy run on the way down and back, - Danny that car is mental, I love it!
Also a very special thankyou to the prize donors; Glenn at Revoultion Motorstore and Doug at MRC Tuning and to Phil T (RS246 admin)

Don’t know about you guys but I found the ‘judging’ part really really difficult, there were so many fantastic cars there with very little to fault. My choice of favourite car/car I’d most like to take home was Danny’s monster, wow, what a machine! The sound from that thing was incredible and the frequent short ‘blasts’ on the road down made the long journey more entertaining.

I also hope everyone enjoyed the informal judging format- I certainly didn’t want it to be an overly serious concours type of thing, just a bit of fun that everyone could be involved in. It wasn’t a fix, honest!

Results;

Best Turned out Saloon/Cab ; DannyRS4 - Full 4 wheel Alignment on Hunter Camera system courtesy of Revolution Motorstore.
Runner-up; Caldy – RS246 Umbrella courtesy Phil T.
Best Turned out Avant ; 22B - Rolling Road Health Check and ITG Panel Filter courtesy of MRC Tuning.
Runner-up; P_G – RS246 Umbrella courtesy Phil T.
Favourite Car; 1. 22B, 2. DannyRS4, 3. Caldy – ITG Panel Filter courtesy MRC Tuning.
Prize Draw ; Fewster – Ardbeg 10 year old malt courtesy 22B.

Finally, I would just like to say that the hotel management were first class and extremely helpful and accommodating and have already invited us to return there next year if we want to, with extra space for more cars. Perhaps we could take over the whole place for a weekend!

The convoy down was excellet it allowed me to hear an rs4 from behind for the first time and it didn't dissapoint small thanks to Richard for the little drags on the way down it made it all the more enjoyable. Roll on next year

Agree with all the comments so far, utterly fantastic weekend and a benchmark for next years National meet.
The drive down the M74 from Abington where we met up with Danny was brilliant - 5 RS4’s taking up the southbound motorway with the sun out and Milltek rumble. Missed an opportunity for rolling photos though as the camera was still in the boot. Should have maybe just pulled in, jumped in the passenger seat and then caught up with you all.
Got a few of Laura, Iain and Richard on the way back up the road yesterday but by then it was grey and overcast.

Danny, we could hear your thing from a distance of 100ft+ away and that was with my windows up and music on.
Even Julie was having a wee chuckle to herself when you hit the loud pedal and she’s not normally that interested in cars!

Got over 500 photos to sift through and will upload the best ones tonight.

Glenn, I’ll burn them onto a disc and fire it down to you ASAP – either that or I can just link you to them on my Flickr.
