The time has come

Post by TW1963 » Wed Jul 20, 2011 8:34 pm

I'm looking to sell my 2004 RS6 Avant.

With Olympic construction coming to an end and with my next posting to Nottingham I can only take 1 car.
It's time to sell the love of my life.

t has covered approximately 70,000. I bought it from Fontain 3 years ago.
It has not been driven for over a year but has been started regulary and run up to normal operating temperature
its black externally (unmarked) with black leather interior with contrasting piping also unmarked. Totally standard, although it does have the solar sunroof, not sure if this was standard or not.

It needs the suspension looking at. (coil over time)
It needs brakes service, certainly pads (maybe a couple of discs in time)
It requires a full service, (i would replace the belts at the same time for peace of mind, Fontain were a bit sketchy if this was done or not before i bought it)
finally it requires an mot

(available to view anytime in Canary Wharf)
I am looking for the best offer around £11k -£11.5k fully realising it requires a bit of work.
PM me if your interested

Pictures to follow (once clean)

You mean they've finally got the olympic site on schedule?

It sounds a lovely car.

On a serious note I feel that maybe if in need of suspension, service, cambelt, brakes, and MOT test that £11k might be a bit rich?

Service + cambelt £1600
Suspension £1800 (to do the H&R with Hotchkis ARB route) - £2500 (to do Bilsteins with Hotchkis ARBs)
Normally people change pads and discs at the same time, so perhaos £1000 - £2000...

If it was worth £14000 in excellent condition then maybe £10000 ish?

What's the car you're taking?
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper
